studio and fox news contributor. good morning to both of you. thanks for joining us so early. we'll start with you. who won the debate among the number twos? >> of course mike penn state. he is donald trump strength. tim kaine is hillary's clone. he interrupted, he was rude and i like tim kaine as a person and his candidate because he has -- but last night he was awful. i don't know that much more about hillary's policy but i know a whole heck of a lot more about donald trump's policy. nicole: angela come you're absolutely right. angela mentioned that 39 interruptions from tim kaine. >> i think you came to the debate looking for style you want racing governor pence one.
if you came to the debate looking for substance comment you walked away thinking senators kaine one. the thing is mike penn state a good job. he was very polished. he did with donald trump is unable to do in their first debate. he was able to pay that, change the sub check. he was able to not take the bait. but he did a really good job for mike pence when he runs in 2020. mike pence for the win, donald trump for the loss. nicole: temperament, too. lauren: was trying to bait mike pence over and over he can. do you think he showed donald trump at top of this ticket less than the preparation and your demeanor actually mean something? >> that is mike pence. i knew him when he was congressman. i've not had a chance to talk to him as governor. he speaks from the heart. donald trump is two years.
the bottom line is you get a vp candidate is different from you who could enhance you where you guys can learn from each other. you said your candidates vps second choice. he said he was about substance? he was about memorized soundbites and he was about making hillary clinton look better. he was not about substance. let me just finish. i didn't interrupt you. stop it. >> -- substance on immigration. >> you want to be like hillary clinton? >> -- pivoting away from having to be sensitive. he had a lot of platitudes and it was a very generic republican and able to make those conservatives who do not like donald trump relax a little bit. all he did was pay day with platitudes.
nicole: angela, your point is tim came right out of the gate, he was asked makes a asked makes it great is the vice presidential candidate? what if you take over the white house as he did come out with a reverse comment. stronger together, hillary is great. you felt he was first in line from spitting them out? >> he memorize his lines. events are rehearsing. when he started i was really worried. when i started he was awesome but then he went downhill from there. i'm a former congressional candidate and i want to privatize social security. my stepfather died at 57. if other died at the age of 66. they started working for social security. having said all of that, black folks actually pay into the system that the majority of us don't reap the benefits.

1 million people ordered to leave coastal cities. fox senior meteorologist janice dean has been tracking the storm life in the weather center with the very latest. good morning. reporter: high, the corporate folks on the east coast of florida, carolina and georgia saying what is going on with the storm. the very latest. category three minimally involved in eastern cuba overnight disrupted the wall. some weakening going on but still a lot of warm water ahead of it in the bahamas and that's where the forecast track has been strengthening back into a category four. so let's do this. thursday 2:00 a.m. into the bahamas breaking the bahamas 10 to 15-foot storm surge. heavy rainfall in order of a foot or more and the east coast come so close. this way keeps a list into a local officials. listen to local governors giving you the best information if you need to evacuate.
if you need to have a plan, make sure you do so. as they go through time, friday into saturday across the coast of florida hurricane warnings across the central coast of florida and then into saturday sunday. another theory hog of the coastline. this is the center of the storm and depending it attracts more to the last port used, we will give you the impacts. or in packs less impacts. we don't know for sure. two days, three days. anything past that not a lot of great confidence. some of the forecast models have been spinning not sure which would not be a good scenario obviously. one thing we do know a very close brush with florida and the carolinas and georgia. you need to make a plan to listen to local officials. we will certainly keep you posted. nicole: janis ian, thank you for the in-depth report. stay safe.
