including iowa, michigan, pennsylvania and florida. today mr. trump was in indianapolis meeting with 800 carrier workers whose jobs he saved, mr. trump graciously united technology and subsidiary carrier air-conditions for working with him to save those jobs. he also made it clear he was not elected to do business as usual. from here on country who do jobs in other countries will pay a big price. >> they are not taking people's hearts out, they will not be announcing, like they did at carrier. that they are closing up and moving to mexico. >> i can't tell you how long i waited for a national leader to say those words. millions of workers no matter
who they voted for after hearing those words, tonight, they know they will soon have the right man in the oval office. we have an a-list guest lineup tonight. ed rollins, randy evans, congressman chris collins, and jeff dewitt with us, president-elect trump already at work to keep his campaign promises but exceed himself, he is already leading the nation. it was 5534 days ago that donald trump launched his campaign for the white house promising to be the greatest jobs president ever. >> because the greatest social program is a job. and they will be proud, they will love it they will make much more money.
it can happen. i will be the greatest jobs president that god ever created. lou: mr. trump already making considerable progress toward that goal, touting a deal to save job at carrier's indianapolis factory. this hour his thank you tour in cincinnati will get underway, almost any moment this hour. when it does, we'll be going straight to the stage to listen to him and to see what he has in store for us. meanwhile, fox news senior national correspondent john roberts with the president-elect, with his report. >> i want to thank all of the workers at this plant. reporter: president-elect trump and his running mate, made good on a campaign promise announcing a deal with carrier to keep more than a

positions, after declaring there were 4 finalists for secretary of state, sources say that number is fluid. mitt romney is still considered front-runner, bolton will meet with trump tomorrow afternoon to discuss the job. >> it's not a question of a management restreakuring it needs a cultural revolution for a lot of reasons, i think that is important going forward because, of the damage that is done to american interests by not having a department which is what we need to be effective advocating american interests. reporter: some officials continue to push retired general david petraeus for secretary of state, in is concern his conviction on leaking classified information be be a problem in confirming him. petraeus would have to notify his parole officer. any time he travels outside of state of north carolina. but, trump could always parton him -- pardon him, petraeus who retired from military in
2011 would need a congressional waiver to serve. they are confident they could get him through the confirmation process, and get in the congressional waiver needed to serve. they are confident they could get that same waiver for general mattis should he be official pick of secretary of defense, last time they happened was 1950 when george marshall was apointed secretary of defense, it was a different time then, he already spent 4 years at secretary of state, lou. lou: john robertses thank you. >> as we await the president-elect's appearance in cincinnati. we'll go there as he takes stage. here so assess political impact of donald trump success with carrier and ford and signal it is sending to corporate america, also reaction of republican establishment to mr. trump's warning he will not tolerate the arbitrage of labor cost by taking jobs out of this country.

exposed if you will to the president of the united states because, they live by defense contract. >> i just thought was a smart move, but bigger move is going out there to people saying, i promised you this, i am going to be president of working people and move forward. lou: he talked about ripping people's hearts out, it is over here. your a republican, part of the establishment. that must have quickened pul pulse of many republican establishment figures who are used to being throwing out bromides about free markets and free trade? >> well, i think it lifted american spirits in ways that we could not have expected, trump is elected, castro guys and carrier stay -- castro dies and carrier stays that is impressive. lou: he has not even started. >> right. and today, i was visiting my dad in the hospital, when the
news broke about carrier, you could see people have a physically bigger step in their walk, they were much more in tune, they were excited, they realized, something had happened. we had a president who actually picked up the phone, and did his job. which is po pro to protect american workers that changes everything when you get american confidence up, just look at market and consumer confidence, and spending, i bet we have a great christmas this year. lou: i think we will irrespective of the markets, i think there are areas that there is a palpable sense of a bright ending of this country's prospect with the election of donald trump. a quic quickening of the pulse. with great excitement that we've not seen in american presidential politics in a long time. >> not only that they are
laying out the tax plan. he is front in center with the promises he made. lou: the talking points, here from the left and democratic party, this is just nonsense. white house press secretary today, saying, well after saving a thousand jobs he needs to do this 900 more times or whatever number it was, that snarky, snide, petty response, to what is a very important development, they cannot stomach the fact that this is a president, after all of the attacks and hundreds of millions spent the to run him down is standing tall right now, and leading this country, randy? >> i agree. trivializing a success, that is literally what it was, the
success to save a thousand workers. whose christmases were on the line, to say, no we're going to put an end to this this just the start. this is just the beginning of what donald trump will do as the president. totive -- trivialize that, that shows you where they are coming from, this is how the country gets demoralized and. we have a president now that will lead from the fronts. lou: leading from the front, and compelling the interest of the national left wing media, no matter what, as he is making those appointments. they -- far faster rate than the two previous presidents had been that is bush and obama. there is a lot of us is spen suspense around secretary of state. today we learn that mad dog mattis, marine general is the trump choice to lead
department of defense. your reaction? i think this is a casting out of hollywood. >> i am all for it. this is a fabulous pick, he has lead in every position, had is superb, this is a great move, i think putting a military leader in there will change tra structure just as john bolton talked about earlier. washington needs to be shook up. lou: randy one other thing. this, of death threats against th the -- your reaction to it. we heard estimates as many as 15 have been threatened, it is not clear to me that the fbi is involved investigating who are making those threats. this is troubling, your reaction as an elect or.
>> we're as a an elector we're bombarded werk mail with mails and threats. it is harassing it a tre direct violation of federal criminal law. lou: so where isn't the fbi all over this? >> well, same reason that fbi would not investigate or recommend indictment of hillary clinton, they are part of the system, the system that is intent on disregarding the rule of law in favor of letting things like this happen, you would be stunned if you read some of the e-mail threat, that sent out, letter, phone calls that are made to people's homes. at all hours. lou: i get enough of my own. we'll keep our correspondents separate.
ed rollins, randy evans. >> thank you. lou: we're awaiting president-elect. donald trump to take the stage in cincinnati, when we does we'll be all over it. and go there live, we're coming right back. we have a lot to cover tonight. stay with us, throughout it will be a rewarding experience, i assure you, stay with us. >> president and vice president elect, in indiana today, they are securing jobs and serving notice on corporate america that outsourcing jobs will come at a high cost. >> we'll have a lot of phone calls made to companies when they say they are thinking about leaving this country, the workers are keep their jobs. lou: 49 days until mr. trump takes office, congressman chris collins will join me next. >> deadly wildfires in eastern tennessee are still spreading
