there's more information on our website, foxnews.com/propertyman. we'll see you next week. [ woman vocalizing ] >> lou: good evening, everybody. our top story. most americans are sleepwalking as the nation is taken over by the deep state and fbi and they conpyre to delegitimate is overthrow the president of the united states. and the leaders of both congress and the senate are compliceit as they toad by silently in the face of unrelenting efforts of the trump presidency. the once storied fbi is in crisis. its leadership is inept as it is
corrupt and unable to amount a defense of russian warfare and incapable of halting mass shootings and terrorism and failing to win criminal convictions under the direction of fired director james comey. the overreach and abuse of power is on full display. and michael cohen, in the weeks before the fbi's outrageous how was surveyed. the justice department is politically corrupt. and the fbi is a state police force that most americans barely recognize. former fbi director and others join me to assess the damage to the fbi and judge whether it could be salvaged from ruinous and corrupt leaders.
the fbi crisis and its leadership. and the department and the fbi failing in the law enforcement role and the fbi's national security division all but fail would completely in its responsibilities. the fbi alreadiship is corrupt by the obama deep state elites. a raid against our constitution and our very gflt. the special counsel added to the fbi's failure. the department of justice refused to yield for the constitution or congress in the oversight roles. and refusing to reveal the scope of the deputy general rod rosen sign in august and outlining the scope of the russian investigation. the former fbi director andrew mccabe faces criminal charges and ark cued of lying under
oath. and a massive concern and so is the declining number of fbi convictions. criminal convictions have fall know and according to the syracuse university and meanwhile, public confidence in the agencies withering. and a recent report shows president is cut down. and we are learning that the department of justice and the fbi as well may have deleted text messages between bureau officials peter strzok and lisa page. that according to the inspe inspector's stream. and it once served on the russia investigation. and all turn over it congress
last week. the columbia law professor worked as a fbi employee for a year and a half and during that same period he appeared in the national media to defend the handling of the email case. guiliani took aimality comey today and delivering this blunt a systemment. >> i think he is a liar. mccabe will tell you he lied. >> it was proven he lied three times under oath. and also refused to clear and say that the president was not a target when in fact he had done that to hillary clinton and botched the investigation. no one thinks that the handling
was not disgraceful. and how he is put up as a model is dismaying. >> lou: my first guest. james colstrom served 30 years with the burrly and the fbi was raged by a lack of leadership and corruption under the justice department. joining me now. >> good to be here, lou. >> lou: we learned that there is surveillance to that extraordinary raid against his home and office and hotel room or office. your thoughts. it is increedible and i look back in the history here in the 80s and 90s and the savings and loan crisis and over a thousand
s&l's went under a lot of it was criminal there and not one law firm in the united states. was issued a search warrant muches in that incredible and he had a four- person law firm and subject of the search warrant. now it could be, i don't know the facts, lou. but it takes a criminal predicate to set a under title three to get a wiretap. and i found that is probably unlikely and i don't see where they can get the cause for that. to get a search warrant they have to show a crime took place and we have done everything and now we need to search and get records or if it is a national security, one of those two things. and i think time will tell whether or not any of those things play out correctly.
>> lou: we are hearing a correction from the original report from nbc news, that was not surveillance in the form of a wiretap. >> it was a pin reggistry. >> lou: even that is outside of the bounds it would seem of the president's personal attorney? >> you know better than i, i come from a different perspective. from the beginning of donald trump running for president. and it was clear he was the nominee. i call it a conspiracy and a bunch of thingless. no question they were down for trump and hogs don't want the snouts pulled out of the food business roundtable and chamber of commerce. they want cheap labor and close the border. and the american middle-class
are suffering under the inane policies. obama administration. and donald trump comes along. he's done more for this country than the last three presidents combined. >> lou: there is no president since fdr who did as much in short of an order and what he accomplished in the economy and the broad number of challenges. all of these establishment and elite orthodoxies that you refer to have to be beside themselves. he's doing manage that no one has done in our lifetime. walk in the oval office and do what he's saying. >> he's going to prevail. i have known him a long time. he has a few off color remarks and this or that. what does that have to do with the american people with the fact he's running the country
the way it needs to be run. it is a copy of the declaration and constitution and i might take a quick moment to put on my glasses. article two section one. executive power should be invested in the united states of america. exclamation point and period. and we had these nonsensical what did i think on this day and last thursday. and mueller is out of control and the american people, weak kneed leader of our congress. they are ineffective weak kneed and so ineffective with the swamp they will back out. we have 30 or so in our congress that want to do the right thing. >> lou: most of them in the
freedom caucus. and to me it is extraordinary that paul ryan and mitch mcconnell don't have the courage or integrity to stand up with this president and sayro pert mueller is out of control and running an extra legal operation and has in fact formed a super authority over our constitutional republic, and not envisioned by our founders. >> it is not funny. it is very, very sad what is going on with these people and it is outrageous and incredible. and comey, i mean, the guy has lost his mind. he has become a pathologicaled liar. providing no discipline or leadership to the fbi. the fbi is still a great organization, you get rid of those. i don't know 10-20. you get rid of those at the top and provide leadership and
discipline and the fbi will come right back. that's what they crave. and that's not what is happening and they are embarrassed by paul manafort. and that raid in his home was outriejous. the fbi should never be involved if i was head of the fbi office i would have refuseed to do that raid at 4:00 in the morning figure the reports are right with the wife in bed and children there. they should be sued and this thing with the lawyers, it is not as obscene. i don't think they had machine guns, but it is out of the paradigm of what normally happens. atz i told you about the s&l. >> lou: the crisis in the mid-80s was the largest of the final crisis in the industry
itself fell apart. and i hadn't considered it but there were no raids on law firm and one could have made a much better case. >> they didn't want to take on the big law firms. they are taking on the little law firm with a president who is trying to do the right thing. >> lou: you think the fbi is retrievable? >> i think so. they promoted the wrong people and the people without experience. we need people investigators to run the fbi. we don't need another attorney. i don't think chris rise. but we don't need another member of the gentry over there. >> lou: he's not improved the fbi or to the president. and he's stone walling in the oversight role. and he's no better than mueller
or comey or. >> the deputy attorney general what is he doing? he signed one of the continueiations of the fisa, intercept. and can you imagine, full of fictitious information? and he's passing around like arrogance that he will not be extorted. i mean, who is this guy? what is this? >> lou: he's part of the deep state. >> where is judge sessions? he must be locked up in the men's room. i don't know. >> lou: it is a sad thing. >> how could he do what he's doing? >> lou: you want to find out who someone is, give them power. >> you give them a lot of power
then you find out. >> lou: thank you so much. good to see you, and all the best. up next, robert mueller goes rogue trying to subvert the presidency of donald trump and we it took guts to start my business. but as it grew bigger and bigger, it took a whole lot more. that's why i switched to the spark cash card from capital one. with it, i earn unlimited 2% cash back on everything i buy. everything. and that 2% cash back adds up to thousands of dollars each year... so i can keep growing my business in big leaps! what's in your wallet?
>> lou: the trump economic keepsroaring the and the number of americans receiving unemployment benefits fell to the lowest level since 1973. lowest level since 1973. thanks to the policies of president trump. we've also seen, are you ready for this? black and hispanic unemployment rates plunge to the lowest levels in history. let me repeat that. the lowest levels in history. for african-americans and hispanics. and all of that enjoying a dramatic surge in the president's approval numbers. the poll shows approval rating with the african-american doubling from 11 to 22 percent in one week and i am sure he said thank you, kanye west.
the feeling is mutual and we are talking about 16 months in office. the man said he would fix problems and he is doing that. joining us is ed rollins, he served this three presidential administrations and fox political analyst and great to see you. i have to say listen to jim holstrom. >> great american. >> lou: he is without question. and see the pain as he talks about his agency. he was there almost three decades. >> in the new york office for a long time. >> lou: he is an amazing man and i wonteder where are the other agents like jim. >> the hierarchy is. >> lou: they are corrupt. where are the agents, who care. is there a fear in the agency that they haven't got the guts
to stand up against corrupleadership. eight years was eric holder and they are indoctrinated. if you do what is right, you get slapped around a bit. i think the whole thing is absurd and we start talking about. maybe you need to investigate the hillary side. and could have been done in the justice department and if sessions didn't want to do that. the deputy. >> lou: that is it rod rosenstein. it goes in a circle. >> it should not have gone outside of the agency and now it is a public forum and not an independent counsel and it is a special counsel and they report to the justice department. it is it run amuck. >> lou: you have a corrupt republican leadership and a k street and business roundtable

extort money should pay a price. you don't have to pay a price, it is not a crime to pay off a ransom, but it is a crime to demand one. >> lou: it is a private matter and to see, i will call him special counsel and see him descend to go to that level of ignorance and sensationalism. >> and his own words, i basically set up a special counsel. he knew what he was doing. he had a strategy. >> lou: comey is become a caracketure and words fail me he ever led the fbi. or robert mueller. they are contemptible. >> i am not sure what they have
now it is better. >> lou: referring to christopher ray, he is shown to be a part of the plot. there is a suspicion that the fbi and justice department that they are doctoring things. that would be evidence and that would be quite in keeping of what is the clear character of the fbi and justice department. >> they believe you've they are above the law. and that's why you have oversight by the how thes and seen the. and they demand things. >> lou: i hate to be the ones to say it. there is no over sight other than the house intelligence. >> i agree. >> lou: you are talking about the weak kneed pathetic leadership and you talk about paul rhine and mitch mcconnell don't rise to the level of a snake's belly.
>> they will pay the price and the country is paying a price by letting it go on. and still no evidence of a crime that is committed. >> lou: mark meadows, chairman of the freedom information demanded, and has been demanding the scope memo. >> right. >> lou: to show the leadership of the house what is their scope. and that precious little fraud, rod rosenstein said that would be extortion when the congress. united states carries out its constitutional responsibility. this is ignorance. when you watch comey. if you watched him with brett baier. he said he didn't done. >> lou: he knew. comey and clapper and brennan

this is so infuriating to see these questions leaked from the special counsel team. what in the world is going on? >> i am not as upset about the leak of them. it is better if it was not leaked as i am at the question. everybody talking about it seems to not address the legal analysis. the president is not readily interviewed in any regular kind of case. the information has to be material or very important and the evidence cannot be oob tained in any other way using due diligence. if there is an autoaccident and one of them is the president, the president is not intrude. that is just case law. and this is what is infuriating that all of these questions refer to conduct that is covered
under article two in the constitution. this is what the president does. he can hire and fire people and he can fire and hire and not to be questioned about that and or they are covered wiexecutive privilege. silly question. what were you thinking when you decided to fire michael flynn. they are improper questions and i am embarrassed that anybody practicing law for more than one year created these questions for the president. >> lou: and creating the questions and leaking them against the president and this goes on and on. joe, i have to ask you at what point do the attorneys for this president said we will engage a special counsel in court. this has to be stopped and not stopped out of the decency of the republican party leadership or house or senate or anyone in
the special counsel team because they are left wing accolits of obama and clinton. >> if there is a battle over this, it will happen when the president's lawyer tell mr. mueller there will not be an interview. there shouldn't be. there is bad faith on the part of the special counsel. and they are covered as victoria said article two executive privilege and case law. and the president's pardon power is unreviewable and if he discussed it with anybody it is not the if counsel's business. he can discuss partedons request -- pardons. and this is what the president and national intelligence can do. three men leaked information to the press, why do they have
security clearance. tomorrow morning, the president should order the director of national intelligence to revoke the security clearances of three men so they no longer receive classified briefings and that would be the way to show people you will not take it anymore. >> lou: it has to happen. and i can't understand if there is a mind set among the legal team that they don't want to further poke or prod the special council, but it seems clear that the special counsel is not reacting to initiate itch. he doesn't have a crime or evidence and he is still trying to subvert the presidency of the united states. >> you said a minor conflict with rod rosenstein who wrote the memo to say fire comey. no, it is a major conflict. i have no idea how he is till
