storms. overall, very busy picture across the nation this morning. we have rain stretching across parts of the northeast and temperatures cold enough that we're even seeing some winter weather across portions of new england and extending back into the plains. from western parts of arkansas, southeastern oklahoma and northeastern parts of texas you could be looking at additional severe weather. the main threat will include some large hail and also the threat for some isolated tornadoes. temperatures quite chilly especially in new england. 19 in caribou, maine. 45 in new york city. 40 across parts of the southeast. on the chilly side out there. as we head farther southwest, take a look at the temperatures across the southern plains. where we are anticipating warm temperatures. 70s in places like dallas and also in houston. >> thank you very much, maria. talking about golf ball size hail, how about some golf now. the masters turned into a

he is being charged with attempted murder. the officer is not yet identified. jury selection beginning this morning in the trial of a georgia man accused of killing his young son by leaving him in a hot suv. justin ross harris claims that he forgot to drop off his 22-month-old son at day care but prosecutors say he intentionally left little cooper in a hot car for seven hours. police say that harris searched online for information on hot car deaths and surviving persons. a texas high school teacher is on leave after she was caught on camera slapping a student. >> from graduating [ bleep ]. >> whoa. she swipes the student's papers off his desk and scolds him for disrupting the class. she was arrested and charged with assault. >> well, a massive search for a
