eastward. temperatures are going to be below average for a good chunk of the nation. before that, we are in the peak of severe weather season east of the u.s. and in the carolinas in georgia and florida. as we head further west across portions of missouri, illinois and across southeastern iowa you are looking at the threat for severe storms and some could be bringing in a tornado threat. you could be looking at severe weather with tornadic potential. the temperatures we mentioned are going to get a lot cooler across the great lakes, the plains even across the eastern u.s. here's a look at the forecast high temperatures. detroit you are not going to make it out of the 50's this weekend. stay below average as well as st. louis, oklahoma city and the cooler air will get to the northeast. >> i am going to ask you later when i can start planning my garden.
