they are reeling from the weekend flood water part of i 95. the drivers are trying to make it through the dangerous conditions getting stranded in the process. >> the eastern sea board bracing for heavy rains, more damaging winds flash flooding as well. maria molina is tracking the latest for us. good morning, maria. >> good moaning. they have issued a hurricane advisory on bonnie a tropical depression. it has weakened over the past 24-hours. we are dealing with the impact of not scombraurts of the carolinas but areas further off to the north across parts of the northeast. it will be a soggy memorial day for you across the eastern u.s. i want to take you through texas and oklahoma this morning. the forecast for parts of texas that have already been hit hard with flash flooding is for more

heavy rain. we are talking things remaining unsettled here for a big part of the weekend. many areas picking up to 6 inches of rain. as much as 8 to a foot of rainfall in addition to what it already had. flash flooding across texas. severe weather across parts of the northern and central plains. we will be watching the risk for damaging winds large hail and isolated tornadoes. taking a look at the temperatures you are very mild starting off this morning at 70 in new york. 70's as well in memphis and the city of dallas. forecast high preponderances -- memorial day. 60's and 70's in missoula and parts of colorado.

walked into an auto shop began shooting killing a customer and putting the community on lock down. the gunman arming himself with ar 15's randomly shooting any one that came into his path including riddling this police car and helicopter with dozens of pull let -- bullets. one man came face to face with one of the suspects. >> the dude looked and seen me across street and shot at me. >> police shot and killed one of the suspects. the other is in custody. four people and two officers were injured but they are expected to be okay. a second suspect is under arrest charged in the shooting of a deputy. he turned himself in hours after he shot jamie white in the face.

a deputy is lucky to be live but he may lose an eye. this is terrifying but heartbreaking story to the developing story. a first look at terrifying videos of moments a toddler falls into a gorilla habitat in the zoo. they are defending the decision to shoot and kill the endangered animal to save the boy's life. animal advocates say it was a necessary move. >> family outage at a cincinnati zoo turned into a horrifying experience for a little boy who fell into the gorilla exhibit. >> the 4-year-old boy screaming in fear as he is held in the grip of a powerful 17-year-old 400 pound gorilla. the sglo says the toddler fell into the motor after drawling through a barrier at the gorilla exhibit.

drivers still trying to make it through the dangerous conditions getting stranded in the process. >> the eastern see board bracing for heavy rains damaging winds and flash flooding this morning. maria molina live tracking the latest. what a wild weekend it has been. >> we expect more heavy rain to be happening across portions of the eastern see board with what is left of tropical depression bonnie as it moves northward. anywhere from the carolinas extending up to the parts of the northeastern u.s. some of the storms could bring the risk for flsh flooding and even damaging winds. that would be something to watch out for very carefully. otherwise across the southern plains the rain is forecast to continue fors week. you are looking at potentially more than 6 inches of rain in some spots. flash flooding will continue to be a big concern. we already have rivers running at flood stage. so that could continue to be a big issue coming up over the next few days.
