people who shouldn't have guns in the first place, violent criminals and people who are dangerously mentally ill. i want to see us apply background checks on all commercial sales so we can identify people in one of those two categories that shouldn't have guns. we are trying to see if we can find a place where the president is comfortable, where we can get a majority in the senate, the discussions are still underway. >> are you convinced background checks will prevent another odessa texas attack? >> there are a long list of attacks that might have been prevented had there been a background check what people purchase their guns in a fashion that didn't require a background check but i will be the first to say there is no one piece of legislation that will end these kinds of appalling horrific mass attacks. there is no one thing we can do but if we can make it harder for dangerous people to get firearms

38.1 million people in poverty according to the census bureau measurement, the number of people in poverty in 2018 decreased by 1.4 million people in 2017 levels from the washington examiner. those numbers, can donald trump lose? >> he can lose because of how the american people feel about that economy. recent polls show americans feel the economy is moving in the right direction and some evidence points to that, the last jobs report shows the amount of jobs being created, flattening wages, in addition the gdp from the last quarter, we see a dip in gdp as well, all signs the point to the fact that while the trump economy is going well the american people are trying to figure out how to ma this found there are more americans that aren't usually. one of the quickest ways for americans to lose economic power is not having health insurance and getting sick and having to go to the hospital in dealing with a monstrosity of the

we thought we would nominate a centrist and get progressives to vote for him or her to a situation of nominating a progressive and to vote for them. but here in lies the crux of this for democrats. if we see this donald trump trade war, he promised a great deal and what we are seeing is the opposite, the cbo, the congressional budget office reported each american household will lose $500 because of this frivolous trade war and that doesn't speak to the fact this trade war has hurt farmers, manufacturers and many american people in states that donald trump won in 2016. >> what economic feedback are you hearing from potential voters you are spending time with in nevada? >> so many voters are optimistic considering how well the economy is doing, seeing the regulation
helping small businesses and putting money in american pockets and in addition to that, meeting voters and asking what are the most important issues to them in addition to the economy, they are concerned, women included especially, how to protect themselves if the left socialists are able to get what they want out of was being measured and offered. >> i'm not sure that is true. even among nra owners they want to see a ban on assault weapons, they want better background checks and mass shooters happening week after week to stop. last month alone we lost 50 people in this country because of mass shootings and americans want real solutions. >> final thought? >> no doubt these atrocities are horrendous and we need to do what we can to keep evil people, to keep firearms out of the hands of evil people who wants
