howard has the answer! he's in the mister food test kitchen... with a casserole recipe that will make your family melt! "i remember when i was a kid, there was nothing like a good old fashioned tuna melt. and it's funny, after all these years, i still love them. there's something about them that makes them so comforting. so i thought it would be fun if we came up with a dish that has everything we love in a tuna melt, in the form of a casserole. we start off by cooking some corkscrew pasta and once it's tender, we drain it really well.
6:24 am
while that cools slightly, we add some flour and a little salt and pepper to some melted butter. after that cooks for a minute or so, we slowly stir in some milk and let it simmer until it thickens up. now, we turn off the heat, stir in a good amount of shredded swiss cheese and once it's smooth, we add that along with some canned tuna (that we've drained) to our pasta and mix it until it's coated. this goes into a baking dish and we finish it off with some sliced tomatoes and a bit more cheese before baking it off. once it's bubbling hot and the cheese is all melted, it's ready to serve. yup, everything we love about a tuna melt, but in the convenience of a casserole. i do hope you'll go online and get the recipe for our, "tuna melt casserole," so you'll be able to add a new comforting main dish to your dinner line- up. i'm howard in the mr. food test kitchen, where today we found an "easier

says that according to the iowa attorney general's office... planned parenthood hasn't violated their responsiblities under the grants they've recieved from the state.. he feels if the case went to court... the state would lose. jessica rae: what started out as a mild shed fire, soon turned into a blaze claiming 50 acres of corn just 5 miles south of le mars iowa, a small shed ignited just before one oclock yesterday afternoon and it wasn't long before cinders from the shed blew into a nearby field, causing a raging inferno that stretched across 50 acres of standing corn. by the time fire crews from the le mars fire and rescue department got to the scene, fire chief dave schipper says the second fire broke out. jessica rae: schipper says the gusting winds made it difficult to keep the fire contained and under control.
6:33 am
made it difficult to keep the fire contained and under control. two sheds, tools, equipment and an unknown amount of silage along with at least 50 acres of standing corn were lost. the fire has been ruled accidental, jessica rae: a harvested field outside of elk point also caught fire yesterday. just after five oclock... crews from both elk point and jefferson fire rescue answered the call and had the fire under control in about an hour. firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze. jessica rae: and in the morning... sioux city fire and rescue responded to a fire at cargill incorporated. firefighters discovered a small fire that was determined to have been started due to an electrical switchgear malfunction. cargill employees were required to de-energize the equipment before fire crews were able to put out the fire. no injuries were reported.
6:34 am
jessica rae: and that's not all... fire crews also had to re- extinguish a fire at a house in sioux city that is now being ruled an arson. sioux city fire rescue has determined that a structure fire to a residence on silver street was set intentionally, the first floor of the two story home suffered heavy damages. early sunday morning... firefighters were called back to the residence to extinguish an area that had re- ignited on the second floor of the house. no injuries were reported.
