prosecutors have enough ever in -- evidence to retry the case. a stunning guilty plea today in the courtroom, gary dillinger told the court he shot and killed his sister law -- sister-in-law loretta dillinger, and disposed of her body in a pond, he also says he shot&killed michael robinson and buried him. investigators say robinson was loretta dillinger's boyfriend. jerry dillinger was immediately sentenced to 2 life prison terms. cynthia: right now. a massive blizzard is already causing mayhem for people in the south as it moves up the east coast. craig boswell in washington, d.c an area bracing for the brunt of the snow storm. craig: treacherous driving conditions during the morning commute. people use snowblowers. >> we have a forecast i do not think we have had in 90 years. >> this satellite image in nasa
it is expected to sit over washington, d.c., for the next 36 hours, dumping up to 2.5 feet of wet and heavy snow. topping trees on roofs and power lines. of storm. inches of snow per hour. routes a priority. challenging. skidding off the runway in chicago, no one was injured but other airports are suspending a service as a russian. it is not the snow but a lunar high tie that has residents worried about coastal flooding. new yorkers are bracing for up to one foot of snow. >> scared of the blizzard. craig: 50 million people are in the storm passes half.

officers say the driver did not try to slip through the sheep. 4 people were arrested including a 14-year-old boy and girl. they now face charges for the chase and for stealing gasoline. dramatic new dash-cam video shows a 2-year-old running down a busy highway. it
happened earlier this month in newport oregon. the toddler had slipped out through an open door of his parents car and ran straight toward the highway. his parents were cleaning up after a gathering at a nearby community center. a sheriff's deputy quickly spotted the boy and rescued him. the sheriff's department shared the video as a reminder of the dangers of distracted driving. cynthia: right now. the cdc is expanding its travel alert for pregnant women because of the zika virus. there are now 22 countries or territories on the list. most of them in south and central america. zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites and it has been linked to birth defects.

parts of the northeastern u.s. are now bracing for 2 to 3 feet of snow. nearly 85 million people could be impacted by this blizzard. farther south, some interstates near nashville are totally shutdown, because of this big storm cynthia: a lot of white at the white house but not so much here. jason: we saw a little bit of snow earlier. that has pushed off and we are left to a cloud cover. already eight inches and counting. some spots in kentucky and northern tennessee, 16 inches. 5.5 inches of sleet in northern health carolina. it is pretty impactful for them. how does that compare to us? 35.3 inches of snow per season. some could get more than that in spots. the official forecast for
