the real question is in the waning days of the caucus campaign commodities candidates engage in hand-to-hand political combat. rubio and crews have been going after in an away. other candidates have been in the race, but they do not have money to advertise. to what extent will they go after each other to draw this distinction? cynthia: ted cruz has asked donald trump for a one-on-one debate. he wants to do it this weekend here in iowa. one of the super packs has offered $1 million-$2 million to go towards veterans but trump has not responded. the other -- undercard debate begins at 6:00. the primetime debate begins at 8:00. we will have reactions coming up at 6:00 and 10:00. steve: our team and coverage continues tonight at 5:00 from
mark tauscheck is live. mark: by far the biggest demographic here, by far, the media. we are expecting several groups from various backgrounds to come here and show their support, or show their protestation of some of the candidates and their views. the only one he right now, the group of iowans here that are atheist. we are told there will be a large contingent of fast food workers, part of the strike for 15 we have heard about. the minimum wage folks who want the federal minimum wage raised to $15 an hour. they also want union rights. we are told to expect up to 1000 people arching up fifth avenue in a little bit of the bottom of the hour. we will see how the bettis. i have been -- how big that is. we have been told to wrap.
it will throw it back to you in the studio. stacey: donald trump will not be at the debate tonight. he is holding a veterans event instead. we are live in drake -- at drake university. reporter: people have been lining up for hours, even though the event starts at 8:00, doors open at 5:00. the event is free and all of the tickets have been spoken for. the auditorium has just under 800 feet. donald trump, as you mentioned is held in the event to raise money for veterans, and is getting the fox news robert can debate tonight. let me tell you why -- it all started when donald trump told foxnews he did not want megyn kelly to be the co-moderator saying she was biased against him. foxnews told him no, there was a lot of back and forth. foxnews sent out a press release poking fun at donald trump.

assume office. president obama is creating a new task force on cancer research. and he's tapping vice president joe biden to chair the effort. biden announced last year that he would spend his final months in office working to cure cancer. his son beau died of brain cancer. making news right now, french police say they have arrested a man near disneyland paris, with guns, ammunition, and the quran. police say the man tried to get through security at disney's hotel new york. a woman who was with the man has also been detained. police say she didn't appear to be armed. stacey: right now the biggest swell of the season. hundreds of surfers are flocking to waimea bay in hawaii to witness waves of 35 to 45 feet. waimea bay is one of the most famous big wave surfing spots in the world. a high-surf warning is in effect until later tonight.
