you can head up to orchard or down to dry creek and access back over to arapahoe. colorado secretary of state wayne williams is responding to a cbs4 investigation on dead voters. last neither when our story aired, secretary williams released a statement reading if part, "while vote fraud is rare, it does indeed occur" and he's working to make sure all incidents are prosecuted. our report st examples of votes being cast in the name of people who died months and years later. dead men and women still listed in colorado as eligible voters. brian moss told colorado secretary of state about a woman in colorado springs who died but voted four years in a row after her death.

she's passed away. it's illegal and a crime and has been roughered to the the state for prosecution. for -- -- referred. a curfew in charlotte as the view of the video. >> reporter: police in riot gear moved on demonstrators on interstate 277 in charlotte shortly before the mandatory curfew took affect. one man took a knee and as tensions escalated officers used tear gas and pushed them off the highway. >> you got to go owl in. you can't run in fear.

>> some residents stepped in to help maintain calm. >> demonstrators circled downtown charlotte for hours. >> others staged a die-in on the steps of the county courthouse will national guards men feet away. >> there was a lot more positive people out here and a lot of groups were involved making a statement peacefully. >> reporter: the rel at thisly peaceful tone of the evening here in uptown charlotte followed two straight the death of keith scott. hundreds of extra state patrol officers and national guards men with heavy equipment helped maintain order. protests are demanding officials release video of the deadly police encounter that claimed his life. scott's relatives privately viewed dash cam video of his killing thursday and couldn't tell whether he was holding a weapon as police claimed.

into custody yesterday evening and likely facing a judge this morning. police say the crimes were committed using a air soft or pellet gun shooting eight cars in longmont. others shot in airy and lafayette. the suspects used a blue toyota stolen out of denver. it's the one people were shooting from as reported. then one of the suspects also stole a mini van that was pursuit was called off because it was too dangerous. someone called police after saying the mini van was in a parking lot in lafayette about 8:30 last night. the three suspects were not in the car so police put stop sticks down in the parking lot which flattened the tires of the van as the suspects drove away. they continued driving getting as far as baseline and north finch and then they ran. police were able to capture all

-- breckenridge. partly cloudy to start the morning but breaking through with sunshine in the middle of the day. the highlight of the day is the winds expecting to pick up later this afternoon out of the south so that's going to boost the fire danger from denver to limon through colorado springs, pueblo, trinidad. some gusts could get up to 35- 45 miles per hour and that will really dry things out. the reason is a cold front mi ahead of the front with the wind we should make it to 82 degrees today. windy at times this afternoon and a few isolated thunderstorms late in the day on into the evening tonight with a passage of the cold front. joel, when that front does arrive over the course of the weekend, we're looking in the 60s for afternoon temperatures which will outline in detail coming up. right now i know you have a lot of traffic info to let us know about. a lot of folks heading up to the high country to look at

information from 500 million yahoo accounts could now be in the hands of cyber thieves. if you have mail chances are you got hacked. the stolen information includes names, e-mail addresses, security questions and answers used to verify your identity. the hack doesn't appear to include credit card or bank account information. >> just because your bank account wasn't stolen, what could they possibly have? access to your entire circle of friends and all the businesses you do business with. >> the company hasn't said when it first learned of the data

windy in the mountains and eastern plains today. in fact, this morning breezy down here in douglas county from castle rock into parker gusts have been popping up to near 20 miles per hour. look at wolf pass. a big rush of wind moving through this afternoon. for that reason a red flag warning noon through 8:00 p.m. today from denver and limon down to trinidad for this afternoon. not too bad but it will be beefing up. thunderstorms moving across the eastern colorado plains last night. this morning there's a little bit of cloud cover in telluride. on the big picture, a real strong closed low is developing around salt lake city here scooting in over northern colorado and up into wyoming bringing in a cold front later tonight and dramatically changing temperatures tomorrow. as it comes through today rain and snow developing in the mountains at 1:00 this afternoon.

11,000 feet in some locations and it might lower to ten overnight tonight. for us late showers and thunderstorms developing and might continue into the evening. could have severe storms in north eastern colorado and we'll watch for that. we'll see the contrast in temperatures. heat to the east and cool in the mountains. 82 degrees in denver with isolated storms this afternoon and wind and there's the change coming in for the weekend. upper 60s for saturday and sunday and slight chance of saturday and then we warm it up a bit on monday and tuesday. but joel, i'll tell you, it's a shocker once that front arrives tonight for many. >> it's a good reminder. not cold enough for snow in the denver metro area. get your car ready and get the blanket and find the snow scraper that you have had in there all summer long. i-70 in brighton as you make your way on the elevated portion of the highway here. nice and wide open.

helmet stolen from a denver broncos player and two months later it's back at dub value. it was taken from an unnamed player during an autograph session in training camp. this man was caught on camera stealing the combiment equipment he hid the helmet in a stroller as he left the facility. more than 20 tip administers calling crime stoppers say they knew who the suspect was. he was not ri was surprised the helmet hasn't been sold for more than it's original value. he's now charged with third degree theft. the broncos get to play an early game on sunday as they travel to cincinnati where things are tough and noisy. romi is here with a preview. >> good to see you allen. alan.

comforts of home. . trevor siemian's first road game is this sunday in cincinnati. plenty of crowd noise and a bengals team that has won its last september home games since 2012. the broncos spent a lot of time getting trevor siemian ready for the challenge by making his life difficult at practice. we have all had those difficult. cube kaub is no different. he did the same thing to trevor siemian this week. >> definitely tougher. the older you get it's like any other game. just having to do it in a very hostile environment. for him it's not so much like today just calling the play in the huddle. no comfort zone at all and having to talk to guys. just doing all i can to put him through the best possible
