"we believe that all of this is wrong, and muslims all over the world believe that all of this is wrong and we condemn was from isis.. boko haram." bilal ended his speech with the statement, "the religion of islam and its followers of it,
condemns and disassociates itself from every terrorist attack, and every terrorist. republican presidential candidate donald trump continues to insist that "he was right that thousands of muslim-americans in new jersey" celebrated years ago. in an interview on nbc's meet the press, trump said that he heard of celebrations after the terrorist attacks in jersey city and paterson. yet city leaders and law enforcement leaders in new jersey say the large-scale public celebrations never took place. a sunday of campaigning in central iowa at a worship service before heading east. cruz appeared in tama at a casey's general store within the hour for "retail politicking". after that appearance, the first-term republican senator is due to appear in van horne. cruz will be in coralville on monday for a 10 a-m town hall meeting at the kirkwood regional center at the university of iowa. new jersey governor chris christie hasn't been able to reach double-digits in the polling of iowa republicans but, today, a

moving off one head football coach and to another, apparently, has not taken too long. today, iowa state announced that matt campbell will be the cyclones next head football coach. campbell has served as the head coach at the university of toledo for the last four seasons and made his name in 2015 by guiding the rockets to victories at state. he turned 35 today. tv-9's josh christensen will have more hire. some tension lingers between the iowa dot and the city of cedar rapids regarding the traffic cameras along interstate 380. the dot says the city must remove 2 of the 4 sections of cameras along the interstate, and the city refuses to do so. kcrg tv-nine's brea loved looked into the pending legal battle. brea -- the cameras have been live for 5 years now -- is this battle about revenue for the city or safety? chris, the city says it's all about safety, but the dot doesn't agree. when the cameras went up along the interstate in 2010
citations sky rocketed over the years. after further evaluation the dot determined some of the cameras needed to go. last april the city decided to appeal the dot's administrative decision in court. the city says the cameras have cut back on crashes and fatalities, but the dot says having four cameras is excessive. one man in his own legal battle against the cameras says they aren't fair, and shouldn't be legal. "section six of the state constitution says all laws have to be applied equally. if someone doesn't have a rear license plate on their vehicle they will never get a ticket, and theres a lot of vehicles that legally don't have to have a rear plate." tonight at 10, i looked further into the issue and spoke with the dot to get the details on why those cameras should be removed, and just how much revenue is brought into the city. as we're in the midst of the holiday season, another "holiday of sorts" awaits at least 100,000 people all throughout iowa... the gun-deer season. the iowa department of natural
resources estimates that 125,000 hunters are expected to head to the outdoors for the first of iowa's two shotgun deer seasons -- which opens next saturday, december the 5th. the d-n-r is also stressing the importance of extra safety precautions before starting the hunt, such as the common advice of "wearing blaze orange" and making sure all who are participating are away of the hunting plan. in 2014, the dnr reports 14 incidents from the gun deer seasons -- 2 people were injured and 12 cases of property damage. also coming up on december 5 in waterloo is "family volunteer day", rescheduled from the winter storm that tied up traffic on november 21. leaders with the volunteer center of cedar valley will be holding an event next saturday in downtown waterloo to make packets and kits for the city's newest residents. tonight at 10 in our show you care spotlight, i'll have more on this project... aimed to include waterloo's emerging and growing population of burmese-americans. the deadly shooting at a planned parenthood clinic in colorado remains a topic of

french president francois hollande classified today's paris riot as scandalous. climate change protesters were caught throwing projectiles that included memorial candles. a violent protest erupted in paris on the eve of a climate conference. but a well-known climate group is distancing itself from this demonstration. police arrested 208 people after protesters were caught throwing glass bottles and even candles at police. this happened shortly after 2 peaceful demonstratio ns were called off due to france's state of emergency
that is banning marches after the deadly november 13th attack. a climate group known as 350.org said that the violent protesters violated the "nonviolent pledge" that every group involved agreed to. a pair of artists have created an unusual project at the eiffel tower. they say it is to raise awareness about global
deforestation. an app turns users' smartphone cameras into a heartbeat sensor. the
rhythm of participants' heartbeats is then projected in green and blue lights on the eiffel tower. the artists will also plant a tree for each person who uses the app. . parishioners at hope chapel in colorado remembered 44-year-old university of colorado police officer garrett swasey today. a shooter killed swasey and 2 others in friday's planned parenthood shooting in colorado springs. he also wounded 9 people. police have not identified the other 2 killed. the suspect, 57-year-old robert dear, is scheduled to have his first court appearance tomorrow afternoon. so far, law enforcement has not determined a motive for this shooting. meterologist chris havely is back as we all await the wintry mix...
