constitutional amendment for term limits for members of congress. trump also said he plans to impose a 5 year ban on members of congress becoming lobbyists after they leave office. trump also claimed the rules are rigged in the election, claiming hillary clinton shouldn't have been able to run. he says the fbi covered up her crimes on several occasions. clinton responded to trump's claims, and his refusal to concede the race. " now, make no mistake my friends, this poses a direct hillary clinton is coming back to cedar rapids this week. her campaign announced she will be in the city on friday for an early vote rally. the campaign has not yet picked a venue for this event. senator joni ernst isn't up for re-election this year, but is still paying a visit to eastern iowa today. the first-term senator is

afternoon. she's attending the non-profits soup supper starting at 4:00. mission of hope offers free meals to people in need as well as shelters for the homeless in the cedar rapids area. a toddler living in eastern iowa spends every day fighting a rare disease that took months to diagnose, but he's not going through it alone. in march, the hemphill family finally found out why their son wyatt was constantly sick. doctors at the university of iowa diagnosed him with a rare primary are friends are rallying behind him. they put on a benefit saturday to pay for hospital expenses. "13:09:46;16 for him being a three-year old, it's been very good for him surprisingly and he doesn't really like the pokes anymore but no one likes to be stuck with a needle but other than that he's a trooper, he takes it, he takes it and runs with it." wyatt's family says they hope to get him a bone marrow transplant somime next year. opioid and heroin overdose

including here in iowa. last year, 40-thousand people across the country died from unintentional drug overdoses. more than half of those deaths involved prescription drugs. the vast majority-- about 17-thousand deaths--- were related to opioid pain relievers. that's why federal and local law enforcement teamed up saturday for a prescription pill take back day. cedar rapids police collected pills from people with no questions aske saturday. the pills were put in brown boxes and will be picked up by the d-e-a this is the sixth year of this event. "our goal is to get those drugs off the streets so they can stay out of the hands of children, out of people who potentially want to abuse them, and also not be flushed down the drain and end up in our drinking water" if you missed saturday's event, the cedar rapids police department has a box at the station where you can drop off your

they finally did it. the chicago cubs are heading back to the world series for the first time in more than 70 years. pitch, hit, "out.... out" the cubs have won the pennant" the cubs beat the dodgers in wrigley last night to win the pennant. fans were a little depressed after being down in the series 2 games to 1 early last week. but the cubs rallied to win three straight to win their they'll play the cleveland indians for their first title since 1908. across the goal line. iowa's special teams kept them in the game early this ron coluzi punt was downed at the 2. and that switched the field position. and iowa was on the move checkout the great one handed grab by riley mccarron for big yardage . but some bad penalties and timing today this mcarron td grab was called off because of an iowa timeout right before the play. the hawks had to settle for this keith dun goal to cut the lead 7-3.. the wisconsin offense was knocking on the door moments later but corey clement fumbles into the endzone and desmond king pounces on it. and the iowa offense driving just before half the cj beathard hits noah fahnt for 14 yards and that set up a miguel recinos 47 yard field goal to slice the lead to 7-6 at the break. wisconsin regained the momentum to start the second

the n-f-l and countless of other teams have recently put on a little pink to support breast cancer awareness month. rugby is no exception. yesterday, the des moines rugby club showed support for komen foundation by sporting pink colors. teams from all across the midwest faced off in a round-robin style tournament. with a raffle to raise funds, rugby players said there was no scrum over the goal. "it's very cool to see the support we've had a lot of people come out that normally don't come out w'e've got a big raffle going on we've sold a lot of tickets and everythings getting donated to the susan g komen fund " again, all proceeds will go to the susan g.

the body was found around 8:15 yesterday morning at the skate park on oregon street. the gender, age and name of the person who died have not been released. police have not said if this death was a homicide or accidental. a rollover crash in grundy county sent three teenage girls to the hospital, including one to u-i-h-c. the grundy county sheriff's office says a 16-year-old girl was driving on highwa friday afternoon. authorities say the girl dropped off the shoulder and lost control. the driver and a 15-year- old girl went to a local hospital. first responders flew a 17-year-old girl to u-i-h-c. more than 80 people face charges this morning for protests at the dakota access pipeline site in north dakota. about 300 people protested along the pipeline route in morton county north dakota yesterday. that's in the central part

arrested were charged with trespassing. that's the most arrests at any one protest at construction sites over the past several months. the morton county sheriff's department says what started out as a peaceful protest quickly got out of hand. " we were outnumbered. so, to protect ourselves, we utilized less lethal munitions to protect ourselves, and as we did that they continued to advance on us but we were able to control that with the law enforcement we had there and we began making arrests. " the dakota access pipeline will go through 18 eventually carry about 450 thousand barrels of crude oil a day into illinois. after 60 years, the university of iowa has officially recognized and apologized to the first black student named miss state university of iowa. in 1955, dora martin berry, who now is 78, was going to the school, called at the time state university of iowa. she received enough votes from her classmates to get the

cause. it's the 11th annual reggie's sleep out event to benefit iowa homeless youth centers. teams build cardboard shelters to live in overnight. people also brought food and activities to participate in. the idea is to get a sense of what challenges there are for people who are homeless. organizers say the fun and games quickly switch to a sense of reality. ""it is difficult it is hard it's kind of fun in the beginning and they're very happy but when it gets cold and they realize they're hear for the night and t and warmth it sinks in our kids are dealing with this on a daily basis" " every dollar raised this weekend goes directly toward programs that help homeless youth in getting independence and self- sufficiency. coe college holds a similar event here in cedar rapids tomorrow night. the college's 18th annual 'shack-a-thon' raises awareness for homelessness. this
