good evening and thanks for joining us, i'm jodi whitworth. the deep freeze is back and it's here to stay -- at least for the next couple of days. dangerous wind chills will be felt across the entire state... meteorologist amber alexander joins us now for a first look at the forecast. bitterly cold temperatures are in store fr the overnight hours. a wind chill warning will be in effect from 9pm until noon on sunday for those north of hwy 30...wind chills will be between -30 and -40. light snow is expected tonight, 0.5" in the des moines metro, with up to 1.0" toward the southwest. skies will clear out during the day on sunday as arctic high pressure moves in, temperatures will only be a couple degrees above zero, so wind chills will still be nearly -15 to -20. temperatures will slowly increase throughout the next week and we'll be back into the low 30s by the weekend. for the most part it will be a gloomy week, and there is another chance for snow on tuesday. snow totals look to be around 2.0" right now, but will have to bedated throughout the next

as was at the "march for life" rally at the iowa state capitol today. huckabee says she and her husband are 100 - percent pro life. the annual event is aimed at educating others on the negative effects of abortion and to encourage other options, like adoption. the event's organizer says having the support of huckabee -- helps their campaign efforts 002405 - she came to the march, she attended and walked the march with us and that is a huge affirmation to us that we are moving in the right direction, that the midwest march for life is.... the march for life had to start somewhere and we are starting and we are gaining national attention more than 1 - thousand people attended today's rally a veterans advocacy group launched their "defend freedom" tour in downtown today. amid scandal at v-a hospitals nationwide...
