watch what happens in the afternoon. all those colors begin to spread out. wind gusts up and down i 25. 20, 30. even some instances 40 miles per hour. that will be the case across the plains too. and when you combine those type of wind gusts. with very dry air. that we're expecting. wild fire danger. amplifies. now relative humidity levels at this point because we're cooling down. aren't that bad. earlier today we were in the teens. and i think we return there. once the temperatures start to spike early tomorrow morning. once again. so we'll be dry. and it will be windy. wild fire danger will be a concern. plus we have wind advisories. and high wind warnings. out for parts of the high country. above the timber line tomorrow. >> wind gusts as high as 80 miles per hour. hard to believe.

degrees. well in the rearview mirror this afternoon the the record is 89. it was a very summer like almost july like day out there. here in mid october. temperatures outside now certainly a lot cooler. low mid 50s. in most spots. still 60s 70s hanging on. grand junction still hanging onto right now. we'll drop down to the upper 40s low 50s tonight. skies are clear now. we'llkeep them that way. into tomorrow mornings drive. in the eastern plains. but take a look at future cast. that storm system that is over the pacific northwest. that southern fringe may throw down a rain drop or snow flake. here in the north central mountains. early tomorrow afternoon. i think it's brief. if it does come by. at all.

temperatures a touch warmer than what we saw earlier this afternoon. 78 degrees for the high. tomorrow. upper 70s low 80s east. 50s 60s in the mountains. near 80 around the city. with the high o officially 78 degrees. 50 tonight. partly cloudy. from here a pair of cold fronts expected today move through. that will happen tomorrow evening. after we hit the high of 78 degrees. the second front will arrive tuesday. so front one monday night front two tuesday night. and take a look what it does for us. it drops us all the way into the of 60s by tuesday. and upper 50s on wednesday.
