second time in as many weeks. this is a live look at coralville's northwest junior high school, where people continue to gather to hear president clinton speak on behalf of his wife tonight. following his visit to cedar rapids last week, clinton started his second swing through iowa earlier today in sioux city. hillary clinton and bernie sanders are in a neck-and-neck race as we sit just over two weeks away from the caucuses.the most recent des moines register iowa poll shows clinton and sanders in a virtual tie - seperated by just two percent.the former president is stressing that the next president has to make sure washington works together across party lines. big names with her on the campaign trail when she returns to iowa next week.just a few hours ago, it was announced pop-star demi lavato will campaign with hillary clinton next tuesday in iowa city. in linn county, absentee ballots are now available for some *local special elections. elections.college community school district and the springville community school district are both looking for approval for their general obligation bonds.college community also is electing a school board member.you can vote absentee by mail or in person-- we put the information on our website. special election day for both districts is february second. stocks on wall street just had their worst two week start ever. ever.the dow jones dropped 390 points today to close under 16- thousand points, after crude oil slipped to under 30 dollars a barrel.just two years ago, oil trading was at more than 100 dollars a barrel. the nasdaq also took a big

today is dr. martin luther king junior's birthday.and starting monday--the mlk holiday--the university of iowa will celebrate the civil rights leader all week. week.one student's art work will be on display at the i-m-u.senior graphic design student sam watkins is the artist behind the new exhibit.

pieces the first day and more pieces will gradually be added through out the week.watkins says his pieces were inspired by listening to dr. king's speeches.originally, watkins was supposed to create just one poster for the event. college basketball's big stage... the hawks moved to 4-0 in big ten play by stomping on the spartans for the second time this year... denzel valentine wasn't much of a factor in east lansing... instead... it was peter jok shooting the lights out... dom uhl pitching in off the bench... and the seniors finishing off one of the biggest wins of their career... i think everybody in that locker room... that's in there... believe that we can win this game... and compete with these guys.. we knew what they're gonna do... and what they want to do... they're gonna come out and be the aggressor... and we came out and threw the first punch... they fought us as hard as they could... i think they gave us their best fight both times... they came out and wanted to punch us in the face... it just goes back to toughness... we knew we were the better team from the get go... and we wanted to go out and prove it... and we did... as for iowa state and u-n-i... both teams badly need victories... and both teams will have a chance to get them
