more breaking news in san francisco, police are investigating two fires that break identity this morning a few blocks apart. the first happened before 4:00 at 19th and castro streets and police say the truck was burned and as you can see suffered significant damage and half an hour later arson investigators were called to an outdoor fire that appears the situation was that flamed spread to another area. in san francisco two people are recovering after an early morning standing in the mission terrace neighborhood. medics superpowered to the nightclub on mission street and ocean avenue before 2:00 a.m. and they say two people were stabbed in front of the clubs one in the stomach and the other in the back. both were taken to the hospital. no word yet on a possible motive or suspect. the freedom train from san jose to san francisco in honor of dr. martin luther king jr. will make its last trip ever

today. we are joined from san jose by knick -- knick. >> this is the last freedom strain in the in addition and it is historic. we have video from previous train rides. the san jose to san francisco route was chosen by the widow of the lay martin luther king because the distance between the two cities is roughly equal to the 54 miles traveled by king and the fellow protests when they journeyed from selma to montgomery 50 years ago. declining sales and difficulty on thing sponsorship are the reasons why today's ride will be the last. >> what is the status of human rights? and civil rights? and social justice issues today? what king was talking about 50 years ago is still relatively relative haven't today. >> the final train will depart

president napolitano says they will put their differences aside when it comes to tuition and university funding. two leaders have clashed in the past on those issues. this week the governor weeing board will ask them to work together on a committee looking at ways to save money to help students graduate on time. a plan to bring the preparals to the board in march. >> san francisco transportation agency will consider a plan tomorrow to give senior citizens and disabled people free rides on muni. this is after the board approved free rides for those 17 and younger. muni has healed 24,000 discounted passes each month. if the proposals passes, it will cost between $4 million and $8 million a year. >> a deadly combination of ice and snow and freezing temperatures are creating a coast to coast nightmare for commuters. >> a man was tractor trailers and survived.

police are investigating a smash-and-grab robbery involving a u-haul truck and police say that the driver of the u hurt smashed into a a patagonia store on north point and hyde at 3:30 this morning and that is where we find our news reporter with the report on the investigation. amy? the storm employees are starting to clean up. they had quite a mess to deal with here. there was a lot of mass and clothing. they created a gate with signs telling people to stay out. here is the view from inside the store. it does look like they took too much the store manager said they did. she points out the clothes are compact is one happenful is a the love jackets. police say they backed u-haul through the front door and loaded it up and took off at 3:30 on north point at hyde and police have an idea of who you should be looking for.
