this is eastbound. this was a shooting at 11 o'clock last night. the driver was killed. his passenger was taken to the hospital. she was shot but survived. the killer pulled up next to their car and fired and got away. officers say it takes a while to investigate or ticket an investigation like this and that is why the lanes were shut down. >> it takes a long-term to investigate the scene because it is at night. we do not have the lighting of the area but have to work section by section. it cover as large area. all lanes and the freeway are involved and because of the measurements and breeze vision of the crime scene it is a slow process. >> this looks a lot lick a shooting that happened here a little over a weekend, an exit away at san pablo on the freeway, also, the man survived and the shooter got away. investigators say it is too early to say if they are connected but they will lack into that. they found evidence here that
