>> early this morning on wild drive in discovery bay, a victim was shot after being asked to stop speeding in the neighborhood. cornel has details. cornel? >> i have to say that this neighborhood is stun offered this violent crime. the name of the victim hasn't been released but flowers have been left at the shooting scene for man killed blocks away from his home. neighbors take flowers and food to the home of a grieving family. the 48 will-year-old husband and father gunned down early sunday. >> oh, we heard it. it was like boom, boom, boom, boom. like right after. >> how many shots you think? >> like five. >> brian holes heard the gunshot on wild drive. then we heard errrrr-like skirting off. >> the victim appears to be someone walking around his own neighborhood. >> the man was shot multiple times. a group of men and one woman in

their late teens or early 20s were riding in two cars. a dispute over speeding may have led to a confrontation from one of the drivers. >> from what i heard is that the gentleman had thrown a cup of ice at him and said slow down but they so happened to make a round around the block and came back and shot him. >> the victim died at the sooep. melissa omgren saw two cars speeding away from the shooting. >> i saw a silver sports car with its lights on following it was a red sports car with its lights off. >> the sheriff's department confirms it is looking for a newer gray dodge challenger or ford mustang and red mitsubishi eclipse. neighbors say this is the last place they would expect a homicide it happen. >> we have lost a great sense of security and tranquility here. this is very shattering to all of us. >> just shocking. and our heart goes out to that young family. >> police now reviewing video of the shooting possibly captured by home security cameras. in discovery bay, kacorn el

bernard, abc 7 news. >> firefighters were able to rescue a victim from a home. they say a fire began around 4:00 this morning at two-story house near mount davidson. neighbor shared this video with abc 7 news. he used a garden hose to try and fight the blaze. the fire was contain bed two hours later. >> san francisco police are sear offing for a stab is suspect after the attack near a b.a.r.t. station. near eddie and magnin street where police blocked the area off with tape last night. can you see officers searched an 8 bay shore bus. though they won't say if the stabbing happening along the bus. >> officers are hoping the great american halloween haunt peaceful after fights broke out last night. you are looking at video showing the violence that erupted last night. some people suffered minor

ijuries in the scuffles. others reported having a cell phone stolen. police did arrest some people including teenagers. officers say some people arest were suspected of being drunk in public. we do have a crew at great america and we will get you a report on abc 7 news at 6:00. >> bruce maxwell facing charges after a woman delivering food to his home says he pointed a gun at her. maxwell was taken into custody last night at his home in scottsdale, arizona. he faces charges of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and disorderly conduct. the a's released a statement saying in part quote we were disappointed to learn of the allegations. we take the situation and ongoing investigation seriously. we're gathering information from the proper authorities. maxwell gained attention when he gain the first major league baseball player he to take a knee during the national anthem last month. last week he he told tmz that a serve refused to serve him in huntsville, alabama because of his national anthem protest. >> most members of the houston

friday where a grand jury was in session. sources he tell abc news an arrest could come as soon as tomorrow. with the special counsel's office won't comment. so who is the mystery target? abc news has reached out to former trump campaign chair paul manafort and former national security adviser michael flynn. both are known to be under investigation. manafort's team says he has no indication of any charges coming out against him right now. so far no response from flynn's team. >> typically the reason you keep it secret is you don't want the defendant to know. >> believe me, if you're the person, you know. >> the president has long dismissed the russia investigation as a politically motivated witch hunt. >> the whole russia thing was an excuse for the democrats losing the election. >> trump continues to press that theme on twitter today. writing, all of this russia talk, right when the republicans are making their big push for historic tax cuts and reform.

scientists at stanford will spentd months examining the brain of mass shooting gunman stephen mad okay. he killed 58 people and wounded more than 500 others on october 1st. the "new york times" reports the stanford team will closely analyze paddock's brain tissue for disease or trauma. a medical examiner found no signs of his brain being abnormal during an autopsy earlier this month. >> patients and neighbors got a sneak peek at a hospital that

morning. monday itself, high thin cloud layer overhead. peaks of sunshine. a breeze in afternoon gusting to 10 to 20 miles an hour. what that is going to do is usher in cooler air to start off our wiek ahead. monday temperatures really struggling to even get out of 60s inland. only 59 in san francisco tomorrow. 66 behind san jose. 67 in napa. mild location tomorrow in lake port a high of 72 deg.esre t your halloween forecast. and precipitation. we are good to go tuesday evening. a treat in the evening, 60s and 50s, very comfortable. it'll get chilly by 11:00. you may need the jacket over the costumes if you're out that late. however, we do track the chance of rain heading into friday. and into the weekend. chances really go up friday. there's that one on the storm impact scale continuing into the weekend. we will track it out for you.
