a philadelphia police officer is recovering... after being ambushed by a suspect investigators say tried to execute him. ((brian loftus)) right now, 90- percent of the vacancies are inside at risk schools.... since the school year began, the school district has hired a little more than 2- thousand teachers.. but say they're seeing record enrollment.. there are about 2- thousand more students than last year! ccsd expects to hire roughly 3- thousand new teachers before the next school year. the district has a tentative agreement.. increasing the starting salary by 5 grand.. to 40- thousand dollars annually. plus... you can get a 5- thousand dollar bonus for teaching at a title one school./// ((kirsten joyce)) > las vegas mayor carolyn goodman laid out her plans for las vegas in the
