kidnapping. we're also learing james burt was arrested for attacking a woman he was dating back in 2011. police officers note that this week's alleged attack had similarities to the previous attack. according to records, the charges in the 2011 attack were later dropped because he fulfilled court requirements including counseling and community service. metro tells us burt was fired from the force... but was reinstated following arbritration. burt appeared before a judge this morning where police received an order to confiscate his guns. he will be back in court next month for a preliminary hearing./// ((paul joncich)) > the investigation continues into the metro officer indicted by a federal grand jury. richard scavone is accused of using excessive force against a prostitute during an arrest a year ago. he's since been fired from the force. his case.. reportedly hinges on his body camera footage.. which is public record.. but.. it's proving difficult to get it released. metro says they will not release the video.. calling it evidence.. but the u-s attorney's office

entertainment world lost another star today. british film and stage actor alan rickman died after a battle with cancer. rickman made his film debut as the villian 'hans gruber' in the original "die hard" movie in 1988. he had already made a name for himself on the british stage with the royal shakespeare company. he took on a lighter role in the romantic comedy "love actually." but he's best known for appearing in all seven "harry potter" films as professor (snaype). this morning, co-star danelle radcliffe paid homage to rickman, saying... police have arrested a man in connection with the killing of florida native ashley olsen. the 35 year old was found strangled in her apartment in florence last weekend. allen pizzey reports from rome. > ashley olsen will be buried tomorrow.and a huge turnout of from her neighbourhood is expected. the case appears to have been solved in record time.not least because there was so much evidence available. at a press conference this morning...prosecut or giuseppe creazzo said ashley olsen had two fractures to her skull and had been strangled. there was also evidence of consensual sex before the murder. the suspect who has been arrested was named as tidiane cheik diaw...a senegalese with no criminal record who worked distributing flyers for local nightclubs, witnesses saw the two enter olsen's apartment together. they were also both seen on cctv surveillance cameras in the area. according to the police at some point the suspect took olsen's phone and put his sim card in it. her apartment was described by the landlady and olsen's
