((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > good morning and thanks for waking up with us, i'm patranya bhoolsuwan. earlier this morning... n-h-p had to close down eastbound 215 for some time... after a three car crash. n-h-p says a lexus was driving westbound on the eastbound 215 lanes... before crashing into a jeep wrangler and toyota s-u- v. the driver of the lexus was transported to sunrise with minor injuries... while the driver of the jeep is
at u- m-c. three female passengers in the toyota only had minor injuries. n-h-p says alcohol was a factor. /// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > last night, extra metro police were out in full force... looking for drunk drivers. it's a problem police continue to tackle here in the valley. at last night's u-n-l-v basketball game... police handed out flyers to educate fans on the issue... and showing them how even one drink can change the way you drive: (( sgt. richard robinson/metro police: "the message is choose your ride. get a designated driver, take a cab, uber, but it would be a lot better for you to choose your own ride if not we're going to put you in one of our black and whites and take you to jail.")) they are on. unfortunately what you see is people taking pain medication marijuana and alcohol and kind of combining them into a mixture and that is causing an impairment." )) ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) officers say they increased patrol on the road instead of putting up a d- u-i checkpoint... because it allows them to go after more possible intoxicated drivers with less man power. with the superbowl just a few weeks away... police say they'll be amping up enforcement before and during the big game.// ((patranya bhoolsuwan)) > today, one walmart store in the valley will close its doors for good. the store is located at 43-50 north nellis boulevard... it's one of 154 other stores shutting down across the country as part of the company's new business plan. some customers who live in the area say... that without a car, it makes it tough to shop for food. walmart made an announcement last week that it will close 269 stores world wide.
