the storm's path... 30- million of them are facing blizzard conditions. six states in the u-s have declared a state of emergency... state leaders are taking no chances. (gov. larry hogan/maryland) "the entire state of maryland is expected to experience severe winter weather. this will include very heavy snow, high winds with gusts up to 50 mph, and frigid temperatures." accident on bonanza and casino center, just north of downtown. use las vegas boulevard and washington as alternates. building fiere on boulder highway near us 95. < > > that's a look at the roads... back to you./// ((brian loftus)) > one person was killed overnight... after police say he was shot multiple times next to a car in a parking lot. the shooting happened at an apartment complex... near cheyenne and lamont. police say the victim was visiting family... and do not know if this incident was a robbery or if the victim was targeted. police can't say if this was gang related. the victim was later taken to the hospital where he died.

700 hillary clinton supporters packed the "advanced technologies academy" gym last night... where former president bill clinton took the podium to speak about his wife. he kept his tone very positive... and spoke about hillary's positions as both u-s senator and secretary of state: ((bill clinton: "when she left office the approval of america was 20 percent higher than it was before she came and she was most popular person in america.")) ((kirsten joyce)) the former president brought up how hillary was an advocate for the affordable care act... as well as pushing for health insurance for national guard members who served in iraq. he also says she did more for victims of hurricane katrina than others in congress. clinton also spoke about her

59-year-old otis holland was found guilty... of 15 felony charges including sexual assault and lewdness multiple women testified they had sex or sexual contact with holland... at the united faith church in henderson... when they were underage teens. prosecutors say five additional victims came forward with claims against him: (( victim #1: "i'm feeling exceptionally relieved about the fact that i don't ever have to go through this ever again. 'it has burdened my life a lot for the last five years and just really glad i don't have to do this anymore." )) ((dave courvoisier)) holland also faces 22 new charges. he faces life in prison and will be sentenced by a judge march 16th. /// ((kirsten joyce)) > students received the gift of adventure... thanks to one organization. ((brian loftus)) mccaw is the 40th school that spread the word nevada has adopted. that means books for 800 more eager readers. lisa havighorst executive director, spread the word nevada "we give out about 40,000 books a month!" sherry swensk now there is a slight chance of rain come saturday... but it looks like it will hold off until late saturday - maybe even saturday night now. that is good news! ................ the skies will likely be cloudy tomorrow... be we can handle clouds. this morning we have that almost full moon hanging in the western sky. it will be full tomorrow around 6 pm... against cloudy skies and showers on the way. ...............

chilly 30s in some .. even with some high clouds. ........... more coming through the day all from another system along the west coast and this is what will bring us that chance of showers late saturday. ............... that big winter storm in the east will make travel hazardous and dangerous conditions last into the weekend. .................. we'll get breezy north winds come sunday and monday. that will cool us down a little sunday and monday.///

you know the basic bargain of america is if you work hard, and you do your part, you should be able to get ead and stay ahead. but so many families don't feel like their hard work pays off. that's not the way america is supposed to operate. i want to go to bat for them every single day. get incomes rising... get equal pay for women... cut the cost of health care and child care so people can actually get ahead. hillary clinton, she has what it takes to get things done.

their concerns about area robberies, burglaries, and home invasions. a meeting was held last night in summerlin... at the durango hills y-m-c-a. metro police say the big problem in the northwest valley is property crime... but throughout clark county, violent crime went up 2%. the people who attended the meeting learned what they can do... like get a dog for protection, locking up your guns, and knowing your neighbors. /// ((kirsten joyce)) > a popular piece of art is missing... after it was stolen from the downtown container park earlier this week. ((brian loftus)) a couple of suspects pulled off a cage from the "love locket". it contains a number of padlocks featuring messages of hope and love... that were left by container park visitors. the suspects were caught on surveillance video carrying the cage... and loading it into the back of a truck. people would like to see the lockets come back: ((maria phelan/downtown projects: "it's a symbol of work that's gone in the revitalization, all of the people that put so much heart and soul into this area so we are really sad to see a piece of
