((dave courvoisier)) a compromise may soon be reached that would allow a popular off-road race from las vegas to reno... move forward. the two day, 640-mile "best in the desert vegas to reno race" has been held for several years. but it travels through this portion of central nevada.. which was recently declared the basin and range national monument. because of complaints by environmental ists... theur has not approved the race's permit. so a compromise plan would put the speed limit at 35 miles an horu on dirt roads that travel through the monument area. the race is schedled to begin august 19-th./// ((dave courvoisier)) we want to thank everyone who participated and donated to our great school supply drive.
