((brian loftus)) >> and i'm brian loftus marcos arenas was run over in 20-13 after the men attempted to rob him. 8 news now reporter shakala alvaranga gives us a look at the high profile case.

at the time ... and 21 year old michael solid will stand trial monday morning. prosecuters say both men are responsible for the death of 15 year old marcos arenas. and this is how it allegedly went down... surveillance video captures the two men at a convenience store, supposedly plotting their next move. witnesses say dismont jumped out of an suv on charleston boulevard ... ran up to the 15 year old ... punched him and then stole present from his family. police say marcos arenas then ran after the suspects... and when dismont got back into his car, arenas held on to the suv ... prosecuters say dismont and solid ran arenas over, killing him. within 24 hours, police found the white ford explorer used in the robbery ... with brand new tires. investigators scoured through jacob dismont's text messages. in it, several messages between

had just been released from prison ... urging him to disguise the suv to hide it from police. the victim's medical records give a glimpse of the pain he went through, just moments before he died ... suffering massive brain swelling and severe internal injuries. ((brian loftus)) >> both men are facing robbery, murder and conspiracy charges. the trial starts this morning at 9:30./// ((michelle mortensen)) metro police made a grusome dsocvery yesterday aften investigating reports of a loud noise on covey lane. neighbors said it sounded like fireworks. police say the victim, a hispanic male in his 30s, died from an apparent gunshot wound. ((michelle )) >> police also tell us ... a fight turned deadly between two men at the parkway villas on greene lane. a 44 year old man died of a head injury. two others invovled in the brawl were detained./// ((brian loftus)) the recovery process continues for those affected in the historic louisiana flooding

suicide bomber kills at least 50 people at a wedding party in turkey. the blast was so powerful it shattered glass and took out chunks of concrete from buildings in a town near the turkish-syrian border. investigators said that suicide bobmer was between just 12 and 14 years old. experts beleve the attack was in retaliation for syrian kurdish advances on isis forces in syria. responsibility for the terror attack.
