>> per clark county fire department: - the fire started just after midnight inside of a warehouse near polaris and harmon. - the address matches up to the people's autism foundation. - upon arrival firefighters the warehouse portion of the building. - they quickly called in more crews to help out. - in fear of the fire spreading to a local pet hotel they broke into the neighboring building to get all of the animals out safely. - crews were able to put out the fire. - right now, they're working inside to put out any hotspots. - we are told there was a lot of clothing burned in the warehouse. but don't know if they were materials collected during a recent back to school drive the people's autism foundation held.

school zones go back into effect... and, if past years are any indication, it would seem that some people don't know the rules of these zones, and that's what's driving metro crazy. "what's really driving metro crazy is we have an important day coming up. it's august 29; that's the first day of school. and a lot of folks don't realize that in a school zone you can't make u-turns, you can't jaywalk, you can't speed. kids are our future. if nobody takes care of our kids, except for us, we're gonna have big problems. so, everybody, needs to pull it together. when it's not posted, you can not make a u-turn any time when children are present. period. if you do, it's four points on your record. if you're caught speeding in a school zone, it's four points on your record and any minor violation is four points on your record and parents, don't take your children, dragging them across the street by their hands in the middle of the roadways. it's extremely dangerous. school's have crosswalks designated with crossing guards to get your children to and from school safely.
