new residents have a month to get their registration and license switched over, but metro says some folks aren't doing it. "what's driving metro crazy is all these residents that are new residents who are moving in and are not changing over their registration, their insurance and license over to the state of nevada. "they typically will get pulled over for another traffic violation and we ask them for their registration, their license and their insurance. they'll hand us out-of-state license, registration and insurance, but yet, they might have been living here for six months. sometimes they're even wearing their work clothes. they just left from

and yet, still, possess an out-of-state driver's license and registration. "for a non-resident who is just moving into las vegas, or into nevada, state of nevada, they are required to change their license and registration over within 30 days from the time of moving here. sometimes they'll change over their driver's license and not realize that they have to change their registration or vice versa. but, it is two separate transactions they have to do. "it's really not that expensive to change things over, change your license and registration over. some people say that they don't have the time because they'rer they're trying to get moved in and get things settled and with the new dmv system that they have now in place, you don't even have to wait there anymore. you can give them your telephone number and your telephone number will wait for you. they'll even send you a text letting you know when you're coming time to be back, and you can come back to the dmv and when your number is called, you can come up. it doesn't even take that long any longer ((demetria obilor)) >> you've got 30 days to
