((mic >> kirsten... in a statement the for-profit college chain said today with profound regret they're ending academic operations at all of its more than 130 campuses across 38 states. i-t-t operates two campuses here in the valley... one in north las vegas... the other in henderson. both have officially closed their doors. i-t-t educational services made the announcement today and says stripping of financial aid is forcing the school to close immediately. last month, the u.s. department of education said the school could not enroll new students who use federal financial aid. the school accuses the government of "unfairly" stripping it of eligibility for student aid. i-t-t tech stopped enrolling students altogether august 29th while looking for other options for students and staff. the indiana based company says

our area today and it looks like we will get missed by the remnants of hurricane newton that's battering baja today. ............ temps are warming up at noon... hitting some low 90s around town, but mostly sticking to 80s for now. .............. and that super dry air means you have to keep drinking water and stay hydrated or you will likely experience d we have something new blooming again and that's sage. those beautiful purple and whites bushes are so pretty to look at, but a lot of people are allergic to them. and they are in full bloom again - as they are several times a year. ................. winds this week have carried the pollen and dust around to keep us sneezing. .............. barely hanging on as a category one hurricane... newton has pounded baja today wiht one hundred-plus mph winds around cabo san lucas. ..............

into the desert... heading for arizona and new mexico - even west texas - over the next couple of days. ........... high pressure over our area should push that tropical moisture east and away from us... with heavy rain expected. maybe up to 6 inches of rain in those states. ............ flood watches are posted in those southern reaches near mexico border. ............. we will keep increasing the heat and get back to summer-like temps in the low 100s by the end of the week. today in the mid 90s... but by friday up to 100 degrees ............. that lasts another day or so and then another system drops in from the north to coolus down again next week.
