citizen from afghanistan is a suspect in the bombings in the chelsea section of manhattan and the jersey shore this weekend. authorities say there is no indication he is part of a cell, but the investigation is ongoing. ( james o'neill/nyod) . now that we have the suspect in custody, the investigation canfocus on other aspects such as whether this individual acted alone or what his motivations may have been. brook silva braga the confrontation with rahami comes after a robot detonated a bomb in a trash can overnight in elizabeth, new jersey. near a train station there. ( brook silva-braga/cbs news, chelsea, ny) the fbi also took five people into custody during a traffic stop in brooklyn last night in connection to the explosion here in chelsea. brook silva braga the fbi combed the manhattan neighborhood collecting evidence monday. surveillance video shows people running for cover after the pressure cooker bomb exploded saturday night, 29 people were hurt. busy stretch of the i-15 kicks off today. the widening project will go from craig road to speedway boulevard in north las vegas... and that's where michael stevens is to tell us what we an expect.. michael... the 5-miles stretch of highway from 4 to 6 lanes in both directions. listen to these numbers... n-dot says about 41-thousand cars travel this path everyday... and traffic is expected to grow 71-percent by 20-33. n-dot sa travel times and congestion. n-dot says the project will help with traffic... going to and from the speedway during major events like nascar and e-d-c. in addition to roadwork... new lighting will be installed as well as some new signs and landscaping. the project is expected to take about 18-months to complete and should wrap up in early 20-18. kirsten? kirsten joyce and sherri swensk. this is 8 news now at noon.)) treatment of some blood cancers wipes out healthy blood cells. stem cells... which are immature cells that become various blood cells... are needed to replenish them. that used to mean surgery to collect the cells from bone marrow. but martie salt shows us that now there's an easier way.:

and i'm looking forward to a few more years." martie salt: three years ago, the art restorer was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (my-loh-mah), a rare blood cancer. the only hope was high doses of chemotherapy to kill the bad cells, but chemo kills the healthy ones too, meaning a painful bone marrow transplant. sylvester comprehensive cancer center "we literally had to do surgeries obtaining the stem cells that regrow the blood cells after chemotherapy from the bone marrow." martie salt: doctors can now push the stem cells from the bone marrow and into the blood where they are easy to collect without an operation. george schwartz "i sat in a bed at the hospital, the clinic, and they drew blood." martie salt: the blood containing thestem cen a lab until the patient is admitted into the hospital for chemo. krishna komanduri, md "a day or two later, the previously collected stem cells are infused into the vein just like a blood transfusion."

congressman heck's become part of the problem in washington. heck voted to protect perks for politicians like himself, allowing congressmen to travel on private jets at taxpayer expense and voted members of congress, like himself, taxpayer-funded healthcare for life. heck even voted to allow congressmen to take their pay during a government shutdown. congressman heck is what's wrong with washington.
