how much support he has from fellow owners to relocate to las vegas. but he did tell me he's pleased with the process to get the stadium. the 750-million dollars of new room tax money would be the largest-ever public subsidy for an n-f-l stadium... and i asked state senator kelvin atkinson... a key democrat who voted "yes"... why he chose to vote for it when progressive orginazions have been consistently against the stadium. last year ... it underwent a 1.2 million dollar renovation. "you could put 7 to 8,000 seats in the north end zone. you could add some seats along the top to get it close to 50,000." "you could enhance some training facilities out there, some offices out there, the locker rooms would have to be re-done." don't like the idea? well, futrell compares it to where the raiders are playing now... atleast at sam boyd stadium you're not catching a pass and sliding into second base at the same time." here's another option: the las vegas motor speedway. "it can handle the big crowds and it's equipped for that. that part of town knows how to deal with the big crowds." or...could the raiders stay in oakland for another season? "i don't know how oakland fans would react to a las vegas team that's already said we're divorcing you, but can we stay in the house a little longer?"
