((sharie johnson)) closures near mccarran and the spaghetti bowl... plus the major projects you need
you'll need to avoid this week.. here's traffic anchor... demetria obilor with tonight's look ahead... good evening. right now, you're dealing with closures on eastbound 215 at the mccarran exit because of the county's airport connector project. it is similar to what we saw last weekend. this ramp is scheduled to reopn tomorrow morning around five am. afterwards, there will be nightly closures along this ramp for the next couple of weeks. use alternates. the county is suggesting taking eastbound 215 to windmill, exiting and merging onto westbound 215 for access to the airport connector. you can do that, or those on the west side may want to take tropicana to paradise to get into mccarran. also, this week, we are going to see major ramps shutting down around the spaghetti bowl for project neon. starting wednesday night around 10 pm, the southbound i-15 ramp to northbound 95 will close, as well as the northbound i-15, southbound i-15 and northbound 95 ramps to mlk. friday morning, the northbound i-15 ramp to northbound 95. once these routes close, they will remain closed through next february. i will remind you about this on monday and every day leading up to the major closures. i will also provide with you alternate information.
