the name of the suspect in the center of this investigation... police say his name is 18-year-old daniel prichard. metro police this all started just after 11-o'clock last night... that's when officers say they spotted the teen driving an unregistered car near bonanza and nellis. police tell us... officers tried stopping the car -- but the driver took-off. a short time later police say they spotted t and sandhill. police say they tried talking with the 18-year-old... but that's when he drove his car towards the officer. the officer opened fire... never hitting the suspect. no one was hurt. police say prichard was arrested... and is being held at the clark county detention center.

((demetria obilor)) >> back to you./// woman was arrested... after she had three tigers and eight monkeys found in her pahrump home. according to the nye county sheriff's office.. an arrest warrant was served earlier this month to trisha meyer.. when deputies found the animals. deputies also say meyers requested animal control.. so that she could get information on getting a permit to possess her tigers. the tigers were found in her

who was supervising them... and the monkeys were found inside the house. the tigers were taken into protective custody because of her arrest. /// ((brian loftus)) the father of a little girl who was shot inside her home... says the gun accidentally went off while he was putting it back together. that's according to the arrest report for zachary cory. he told police while his daughters were with him for their weekly visitation... he teased one of them about being able to handle his 22-caliber handgun. that'sh the safe... and removed the tumbler.. which had five rounds in it. after the little girl gave it back to him... cory says it exploded while putting it back together... and one round shot the girl in the chest. she was taken to umc... and is expected to survive. cory has been arrested for child neglect./// ((brian loftus)) southern nevada is helping the homeless this holiday season.... morning. temps rebound slightly by the weekend, but sweaters still a good idea for the weekend./// ((sherry swensk)) ((brian loftus)) metro k-9 nicky is being country... after being killed in the line of duty. this is video of nicky after he survived a machette attack in february. he died the following month in a shoot out. a non- profit from massachusetts has created k-9 vests that say "in memory of k-9 nicky... las vegas metropolitan police." one of the dog's from the orangeburg south carolain department of public safety called "badger" is now wearing the vest to commerorate nicky. /// ((kirsten joyce))
