hotel and casino with a look at what stands out about this property. mauricio? ((mauricio marin)) >> the lucky dragon is at the boulevard and sahara. it's alot smaller than the mega resorts we've seen built on the strip in the last decade or so. with the doors set to open at 8 tonight---this casino is working to set itself apart by reaching out to the asian community who experience more close to what it's like overseas. >> the casino is built from the ground up to create an authentic asain cultural and gaming experience. they have five contemporary chinese focused restaurants and 203 hotel rooms. even the signage inside the casino is a bit different. where they have chinese first and english second. and the gaming lounges even follow the discipline of

there's also a chance to the casino floor layout compared to other places where people play around town. plane crashed in northern nevada killing four people released a statement about the accident today. the plane went down in elko moments after taking off from the aiprort there. we're told crews were transporting a heart transplant patient to the university of utah. at this time the cause of the crash remains unknown. american medflight released this statement saying in part: "we are devastated by this event and wish we had answers to the many questions being asked at this time. the national transportation safety board and the federal aviation administration as they investigate the accident." ((christianne klein)) back here in the valley... a section of the 2-15 is completely shut down creating quite the traffic nightmare for those traveling near and around the airport. the closure is at the airport connector in both directions. reporter brittany edney joins us live with more- brittany- how bad is traffic right now? weekend due to part of the 215 being closed in both directions. a portion shut down last night and won't reopen until monday. drivers can get to mccarren using the airport connector but that it's... other than that, the 215 is closed...through traffic won't go through. and with a lot of people traveling ahead of thanksgiving... it might be easier and quicker for you to use alternates if going to the airport... so you can avoid some of this heavy congestion that we've seen. so--if you're heading to surface streets like russell to get you to the airport. those coming in from the west side can use tropicana avenue... and follow it to paradise and get to the airport that way as well. the closure is allowing crews to install parts of a flyover off-ramp over the highway. and with all the various road construction projects, closures and detours throughout the valley... ndot wants to remind drivers to stay focused on safety... especially as we hit the holiday rush. people can be easily distracted, talking on their phones, or texting or listening to music, and things can change in a split second." )) >> and distracted driving is something henderson police say they're keeping an eye out for as well. for the first two weeks of november, the department says it made 575 traffic stops and issued 637 citations for varying offenses. ((brittany edney)) >> commuters just have to get through this weekend... these closures again, are temporary and things reopen at 5-a-m on monday... right before traffic starts to really pick up across the valley for the workday commute.

a chlly start to the day - that warmed up with clouds this afternoon.. let's check in with katie for a first look at the rest of our weekend... ((katie boer)) a pacific storm system will move across the region sunday through monday night. precipitation chances will spread into mainly the sierra by sunday afn the area sunday night and monday. some showers may linger in eastern portions of lincoln and mohave counties monday night. generally dry conditions and near normal temperatures are expected for the remainder of next week. .................... southwest flow will be over the area tonight as a pacific trough approaches the california coast. some mid and high level moisture will continue to spread across portions of the area as this trough approaches but mainly associated with a weaker disturbance out ahead of the

california. .................... this first disturbance could bring just enough moisture for a slight chance of high elevation showers or sprinkles sunday across eastern san bernardino, clark, mohave and lincoln counties. today the convoy of hope along with the champion center hosted it's 3rd annual help for homeless event. we're told a free holiday turkey was given to the first 25 hundred families--- and many others received bags of groceries along with an early thanksgiving meal. one of the pastors at the champion center says every year the event seems to grow--- and while it's disheartening at times to see so many in need... she gives this advice to others: ((randall araujo: champion center pastor " do somethin. we've all been given so we should give back. we should show the same love that we have be shown." )) ((christianne klein)) >> organizers say they hope to beat last year's record of serving 10 thousand people--- and have already started planning next year's event./// ((christianne klein)) law enforcement here in the valley are gearing up for the arrival of a new super drug. exactly what it is and why a tiny amount of it could be lethal./// you're watching the valley's news leader...with sharie johnson, katie boer & jon tritsch.
