blocked off from arden to marion. based on their investigation so far, they believe a motorcyclist and a white corvette were racing before another vehicle pulled out in front of them from the shooters bar behind me. >> you can still see debris from this crash in the road. police say both vehicles were headed eastbound on sahara. they believe the white corvette was in the left lane, while the 2005 kawasaki motorcycle was in the right. when the yaris pulled out from a stop sign, investigators say it was the motorcyclist who ended up crashing into t we're told the motorcyclist is fighting for his life this morning. as for the driver of the yaris....police suspect he had been drinking and he is now in jail where they are checking his blood alcohol level. there was one more passenger in the yaris who claims to be hurt in his upper body. light on wall street this week because of the thanksgiving holiday. dow fell 35 points. nasdaq dropped 12 points.// toys-r-us has temporarily stopped sell the "tonka 12 volt ride-on dump truck" after one of the trucks burst into flames. a family in washington state was taking the truck home when they say it caught fire.. all but destroying their pick up. toys-r-us said it appears to be an isolated incident.. and has taken the toy truck off its apple says it will replace batteries in some of its 6-s models... because the phones unexpectedly shut down. apple says the defect only affects a small number of phones manufactured between september and october 2015. it comes after samsung's massive smartphone recall because of exploding batteries.. apple wants to reassure customers the i phone batteries don't pose a safety risk.// brian and kirsten? this morning police tell me one driver is fighting for his life...another in jail, suspected of drinking and a third driver has fled the scene. it happened here behind me just after midnight. >> police say a white corvette and a 2005 kawasaki motorcycle were racing eastbound on sahara. they believe the white corvette was in the left lane, while the 2005 kawasaki motorcycle was in the right. when the yaris pulled out from a stop sign, investigators say it was the motorcyclist who ended up crashing into the vehicle. we're told the motorcyct morning. as for the driver of the yaris....police suspect he had been drinking and he is now in jail where they are checking his blood alcohol level. there was one more passenger in the yaris who claims to be hurt in his upper body. based on their investigation so far....they say this looks like a right of way violation on the yaris... the saint louis police chief says.. one of his officers was ambushed.. while sitting his patrol car in traffic. ((brian loftus)) >> meanwhile, three other

traffic stops by suspects.. who pulled up to the scene in their cars. hena daniels has the latest. the search continues in san antonio this morning for the man police say shot and killed detective benjamin marconi, a 20 year veteran of the force. investigators released this picture of a person of interest. most families will be celebrating the holidays, sapd will be burying one of its own because of an ultimate act of cowardice. witnesses say marconi was writing a ticket during a traffic stop outside of police headquarters on sunday - when the suspect pulled behind marconi in a black sedan, walked up to drivers side window of the squad car and opened fire the suspect reached the driver side door he fired a gunshot toward detective marconi striking him in the head. the suspect then reached in through the open window and fired a second shot. this was not the only case of an officer being shot in the line of duty in the last 12 hours... a st. louis, missouri police sergeant is in critical but stable condition in what investigators are calling an ambush. the officer was sitting in traffic when another car
