3 the u- s military says a drone strike on a car in syria has killed the isis terrorist responsible for the brutal beheadings of western hostages.that man... mohamed emwazi... was known in western media as jihadi john.the families of some of his victims said the news was welcome... but wouldn't bring back the people he killed. secretary of state john kerry says all terrorists should take the strike as news that their days are numbered. 3 3 what does jihadi johns death do to isis moving forward? our national correspondent jeff barnd talks to a terror expert about one

century. but the biggest surprise may be that it didn't happen in private business it happened inside a federal agency that should be setting the standard for fair 2010, at age 27, alicia dabney landed her dream job as a firefighter with the forest service under the u.s. department of agriculture. working fires like this one in new mexico, dabney was prepared for life or death situations.but she was unprepared for the hostility she faced back at the station in california's region 5-- covering 20 million acres in the pacific southwest. 3 "me.//this frat boy attitude and the bullying and being humiliated, being called fat, also being called, you know, a whore and thingslike that-- it just-- it just drove up the wall. i couldn't take it.// sharyl: 01:08:34 do you think they were trying to be playful whenthey would call you these names?//dabney: 01:08:38 no, it-- it's part of the culture."for more on the story and one woman's battle against that went all the way to the top of a federal agency watch

10:16 pm
of autism in children across the country are stirring up controversy. 3 the estimate released today shows *more* children may be struggling with the condition than previously thought. kenneth craig has more. 3 (nats) at piano with mother angela blanchet knew when her son ben was 15 months old, he was developing differently. - sot: all of a sudden he became quieter. at two years old, he was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder.(sot: kenneth and angela @ mantel) "he was in his own world, his own zone.. playing with shadows.. watching things spin."ben's now ten and part of a growing number of children reported as autistic. new data from the centers for disease control finds as many as 1-45 children may be on the spectrum. another-still current--government survey puts the estimate at 1 in 68. (sot: michael rosanoff, autism speaks) 23:34 the most important takeaway message here is that autism is more prevelant than we currently we michael rosanoff beleives the numbers jumped because the latest questionaire presented to parents changed the order and content of some questions. (sot: rosanoff) "this is purely a methodological issue."
10:17 pm
(sot: kenneth walk and talk with mom outside)2-shot *** kc: so these numbers didn't surprise you a lot because you've been surrounded by this. angela: right, yeah, my neighborhood has a high incidence of autism.. (if there's time) (sot angela over shots of family together) "used to be i'd say ben has autism and they'd be taken aback.. but now it's my son has it.. my grandson.. etc" angela says because ben was diagnosed early - he is getting the help and therapy he needs.kenneth craig, cbs news, kings park, new york. 3 despite the new figures from this new patient-reported survey, doctors emphasize they will *not* replace the government's official *one in sixty eight* number . 3 "i'm chris neyenhouse here at the us cellular center in cedar rapids. we saw earlier today akron-westfield needed some late game heroics to win their football game. well western christian needed something similar in their

game. you don't t t 3 i'm chris neyenhouse here at the us cellular center in cedar rapids. when you go four years without a title, it may not seem like a drought but for western christian and you've won 13 of these, you feel like you need to end that drought. they had a chance today, after going the last four years to the title game and finishing runner up. today they had an opportunity to end that streak. western christian was in a familiar spot tonight. playing for the iowa state volleyball title.1) they got off to a hot start. ashton verbeek with the tapper to make it 24-16 in the first set. they would get the next point to go up one set to none. 2) then in the second. kyra moss with the slam. wolfpack down 3-1. they would fall 25- 22 in the second set.3) so we're tied at 1 here's the third set. it's set point and moss with another throwdown! 25-18 they win the third set. 4) then the fourth set was a nail biter. wolfpack up 21- 19. moss makes it 22-19!5) after sumner scored the next four points the wolfpack suddenly needed an equalizer.
10:19 pm
who else! moss ties it at 23. 6) cougars get the next point so this is set point. if they score we go to a 5th set. but no! emily van ginkel ties it at 24!7) we're tied again at 26 when erika feenstra nobody's stopping that! the wolfpack are one point away! 8) and it would come from karsyn winterfeld right on the line take a listen that is the sweet sound of a state championship. western christian's 14th all-time! moss, payton harmsen and head coach tammi verbeek's daughter ashtyn receive all tournament honors!1:39 tammi veerbeek, western christian head coach"it's an amazing feeling. those teams before that fell short, this is for them. they ran into a juggernaut at dike new hartford last four years but those teams were just as good as this team. so we're winning it for all of them. we're a wolfpack family so this state championship goes out to them and these girls that are on this team they just showed
10:20 pm
heart. and character, and they wanted it and it feels great. 2:03 kaira moss, western christian senior hitterit was hard work, definitely hard work. and sumner is an amazing team they did really well. we were just a really good family this year. we really had to believe in ourselves. like we had to put it on ourselves to believe we could actually do it. 2:16 jacie van schepen western christian senior setter when we came into the locker room we were actually all crying from joy and from happiness. and i know last year we came in and we probably were crying the same obviously from sadness. but this year we were so happy and we just love each other and we love the game and so happy we could pull it out in the end. 2:34 payton harmsen western christian senior setterwe hate the fifth set. we absolutely hate it and so we wanted to stay away from it and we were calm and confident and we knew we had each other's backs and we got it done!coach: every player feels like a daughter to me but this year i actually had my flesh and blood daughter and that makes it extra special. she's grown up with this game and. fifteen years ago when this run started i was pregnant with her. she's 15 years old now. and so it's kind of just a sweet, sweet way to get this championship and for her to be
10:21 pm
part of it. she's dreamed of this moment so pretty special as a mom.chris: western christian's not done chasing championships this week. tomorrow they've got their semifinal football game as does spirit lake. we'll have highlights for those tomorrow night for our saturday night show with jetske and kayla. you don't want to miss that. here in cedar rapids i'm chris neyenhouse, siouxland sports. 3 3 some football playoffs also taking place in nebraska tonight. in the first quarter.. norfolk catholic quarterback myles vrbka'a pass is deflected by boys town's dominick barrett and intercepted by mike mitchel.2. on boys towns ensuing drive.. quarterback rodney rosier's pass is intercepted by norfolk catholic's justin timmerman.3. on the ensuing knight's drive. on third and long.. dylan
