38:09 dylan- that's the kind we always recommend against because if he does get that out, it's the perfect size to be a choking hazard. dylan likes sliding covers better.. and for stairs.. always a gate that's mounted to the wall to prevent babies from falling. he's seeing a dangerous trend from pinterest in a lot of homes - decorative barriers that won't keep a child safe. 52:23 essentially just tying some cloth at the bottom of your stairs.52:31 it really provides no security at all. but you don't have to buy a product for everything. for example - toilet locks. dylan recommends door knob covers to just keep babies out of the bathroom, and keep adults from getting frustrated.super sheila gray16:55 be wary of products that teach your child something is safe, like an oven lock or guard that goes around the top. other homes don't have them. instead, work on your child's behavior. teach kids what's safe and what's not in the kitchen instead, and put latches on cabinets and drawers like jen did. and when it's time for holiday parties and family get- togethers, use a verbal hand- off system for little ones. 59:22 so take shifts of 20-30 minutes where you're specifically watching the child and at a pre-designated time, verbally say 'alright, you're watching the child

3 almost 30 years ago... pixar introduced us to its signature desk lamps and bouncing balls... in its first animated movie... called "luxo junior." this week marks 20 years since pixar animation studios released its first *feature* movie... toy story. when it premiered... critics praised the advance in computer - generated entertainment. c - b - s news correspondent john blackstone visited pixar's bay area campus... to meet the minds behind the studio's biggest movies. 3 ctm script:(nats) "i'm buzz lightyear, i come in peace." when buzz, woody and the gang from toy story were first brought to life 20 years ago, they seemed more realistic than anything previously created in an animated movie. (nats) (buzz): "please be careful. you don't want to be in the way when my laser goes off". it was the result of more than four years of work at pixar animation studios. (nats docter)pete docter was one of the animators changing the way movies were made. 00:04:16:00 you'd come to work every day and somebody would've figured something else out that you'd never seen before.(nat sot "toy story") buzz: "to infinity and beyond." toy story's animators went beyond what had been done before by creating on

there's no way that toy story would've ever been made without steve. he was the one who-- who had the belief and the passion and-- and frankly the-- the gumption to go and fight for us to get us the resources that we needed to make the movie. the studio .. and it's arsenal of films about talking fish (finding nemo) robots (wall-e) and a rat who likes to cook (ratataouille) .. has received massive critical acclaim and collected 12 academy awards. but when pixar had no movie ready for release in 2014 some in the industry wondered whether the studio had lost its edge. (quick film nat to ease transition) in spite of the animation technology pixar has pioneered, its films still start the old fashioned way. kelsey mann:00:05:26:00 it all starts with a drawing, although we do draw digitally, you know. kelsey mann is story supervisor on "the good dinosaur", being released by pixar this week.from these drawingsand the imagination of all those working on a movie at pixar, a story takes shape. 00:12:52:00 i can turn arlo around and he's like, what's going on? huh? (nats the good dinosaur)originally scheduled to be in theaters two yeard ago, the move was delayed by production problems. (nats peter sohn)in 2013 peter sohn replaced the movie's first director. john blackstone:00:05:59:00 the good dinosaur has had some painful moments over many years now? peter sohn: 00:06:03:00 yeah. that's right. and a lot of the pixar films go through these, you know-- challenges of trying to make the story right. // 00:06:22:00 and-- when those problems arise, just like a

(sohn) animation in general is frame by frame work. ther'es a certain personality that makes these things. you haver to be patient, you have to have long vision. you know it's all about the long game. in the 20 years since toy story pixar has been playing that long gamewoody: "to infinity and beyond"and winning.
