[katharine gorka, counter terrorism expert]"you don't want to be too alarmist, you don't want to get people all nervous about the threat, but at the same time, if you don'n' present a realistic picture of the threat, one of the outcomes is local police will not be prepared."president obama noted media saturation of terror threats in a recent national public radio interview [president barack obama]"if you have been

3 ben carson is spending the holidays with his family in maryland..... and earlier today in an exclusive interview today, he sat down with reporter jeff abell from our sister station in baltimore to discuss his recent slide in the polls and possible changes which could be coming to his campaign. 3 (audio) "we're still in a reasonable spot...."at his maryland home....republican ben carson says he understands his sudden slide in the presidential polls...."i think after the episode in paris and in san bernardino where terrorism became national issues, the narrative that i didn't know anything about them was harmful. its not true. i know plenty about

10:19 pm
driving while black. this isn't just illegal. is unconstitutional.but don't end profiling because some have abused it.emerging evidence suggests anti-terrorism officials overlooked or perhaps ignored warning signs regarding the san bernardino husband and wife terror team. the man brought home from saudi arabia a woman who was essentially an internet bride. u-s officials approved her visa in spite of giving a fake address and posting social media comments favorable toward violent islamic jihad. shshalso had ties to a radical cleric . . . and a notorious mosque. saudi arabia and her birth country, . . .pakistan, . . . have both produced countless islamic jihadists. all of these are clear warning signs.yet there are suggestions federal authorities avoid any behavior that might be profiling of muslims. so they ignore obvious warning signs of those most likely to engage in violent islamic jihad. or they go to the other extreme and treat eeryone as if they are

3 3 3 ever since the san antonio spurs drafted big man tim duncan with the number one overall pick in 1997, they've been the sort of model franchise that the timberwolves would love to be. with five championships to show for it they're a team that's relevant every year. well the t wolves have the last two number one picks on their roster.there's karl-anthony towns he's a number one pick big man too!1st quarter, 6-2 san antonioandrew wiggins the top pick two years ago nice

you enter into conference play you recognize a challenge. and we'll do anything we can to get everybody ready. " 3 the vikings clinch a playoff spot with a victory over the giants sunday night. they could also clinch a playoff spot before kickoff. you see, a loss or tie by atlanta against carolina would get it done. a seattle *win* or tie at home against saint louis would too. but no matter what this game is huge because a win sets up a battle for the division title at lambeau field against the packers s next week. and the home playoff game that would come with it. head coach mike zimmer is crossing his fingers that his running back adrian peterson will be ready to go sunday. 3 "we want to run the football. and we want to be efficient throwing the ball. i don't particularly see us as a team that's going to be throwing the ball every play. it's just not who we are and built how

think you can see when 3 we are effective throwing the football how much better we can be offensively."as a reminder we will have that carolina and atlanta game on our sister station kpth fox 44 at noon sunday. that's instead of the vikings, giants game that was flexed into nbc's sunday night football game. we were scheduled to have the bears and bucs game but since that one has no playoff implications the switch to the falcons and panthers was made. 3 the vikings won't have to worry about covering giants record setting receiver odell beckham junior. bekcham's appeal of a one game suspension following his fracas with panthers corner josh norman has been denied by the league. so he officially *won't* * ay against the vikings. no receiver in nfl history has more yards than beckham through their first full 16 games of their career. 3 siouxland news and notes now dordt senior center mycah hulst has been named the gpac huaff mid america sports
