a u.s. official tells nbc news evidence indicates it was likely a bomb, possibly planted by isis that brought down the air bus killing all people aboard. tracy potts joins us live from washington. extraordinary evidence. what are they basing the theory on? >> well it is circumstantial evidence alex and that is why it is likely and possibly and maybe. but not yet confirmed. things like intercepted communications that sometimes can be misleading. but nothing yet hard, solid evidence on the ground as they continue to investigate this crash. >> this is new video we just got last night. debris still smoking two hours after the crash. now a u.s. official tells nbc it is likely a bomb may have brought down this russian jet. possibly planted by a baggage handler at the egyptian airport where the plane took off. >> we can't rule it out but it is certainly premature to say this is the cause. >> great britain suspended
