year older girl. pearl last seen being dragged away by a man police shot and killed today. these are new pictures of pearl into the newsroom. cheryl herd is live. cheryl, deputies announced there is new evidence in the case? >> yes, sheriffs telling us, cameras picked up the license plate belonging to fernando castro in san rafael. deputies are wrapping up their search there. meanwhile, pearl pinson's family and friend are not giving up hope. they believe that she will be found alive. emotions were high at tonight's vigil. >> we're going to keep going. and 15-year-old pearl pinson. >> you need to come home. find your way home.

the sheriff's deputy say pinson was abducted 7:00 a.m. wednesday morning near her home on taylor avenue in vallejo. she heard a loud cry for help. >> i heard screaming. panicking, screaming. then after that, it like, i heard two gunshots. and then the car just went off really fast. >> a bloodstain at the end of the crossing. and sheriffs put out an amber alert for pinson and suspect. fernando castro. spotted on highway 101 and took police on a pursuit from san luis obispo to santa barbara county. deputies say he fired at police. this youtube video shows an exchange of gunfire where castro was struck and killed. >> trying to process as much of the evidence as we can, fast as we can. our main goal to find pearl. so, that is our -- our goal. it hasn't changed. no matter what the events were

today. >> solano county sheriffs deputies are heading to santa barbara county armed with a search warrant. they need the search warrant to search castro's car for evidence. reporting live in fairfield, cheryl hurd, nbc bay area news. >> cheryl, thank you very much. tensions remain high tonight where a homicide suspect remains at large. two suspects both high school students now in custody after a series of raid today. and nbc bay area, live in novato where students are stunned. >> they are. i talked to high school students offcamera. they don't feel safe. one classmate dead. two others under arrest accused of murder. undercover sheriffs deputies hide their faces as they return to the leafwood arms apartment in novato. collecting evidence in a double shooting and stabbing near marin country club that left one high

school student dead. earlier, a s.w.a.t. team with weapons drawn. arresting a novato high school teen. this 13-year-old saw the s.w.a.t. team, serving a warrant on nolan drive when she got home from school. >> made me feel unsafe. didn't want to get out of the car. maybe if something happened. if some one was shooting. maybe i would get hurt. >> just get out of there. >> reporter: neighbors say police arrested a second novato high school teen at the house. the marin sheriff department, searched the hillside near the country club. investigators say three suspects shot and stabbed two novato high school students yesterday. one died. the other is in the hospital. investigators are still searching for a third suspect. they won't say why the teens were attacked. the principal canceled classes today. now, tonight the sheriff's department is not naming the students involved or sharing a possible motive. the search for the third suspect

in pacifica. tonight the two women are under arrest. they went into a safeway store yesterday. and police say they allegedly stole the baby formula, then fled in a car. well police were able to track the vehicle down. investigators believe the women are involved in a large scale theft ring throughout bay area. >> not guilty that was the plea today from two alameda county deputies accused in a brutal beating. they're facing several felony charges including assault with a deadly weapon. surveillance video captured last november's beating in san francisco. deputies are seen repeatedly striking suspects, petrov with their batons. >> this is one of the most savage beatings in, the annals of police misconduct. >> it is always disturbing. police force is disturbing. when captured it is disturbing. that doesn't make it illegal. >> the deputies were put on paid leave following the release of

>> an east bay man who blames ford motor company for his wife's death suffered a bitter loss in court. his wife one of five women killed in the 2013 limousine fire. remember on san mateo bridge. he filed a wrongful death long suit against ford claiming the company knew there were suspension problems with converted lincoln town cars. the jury agreed that the automaker was not responsible. instead, blaming the san jose company that owned the limo and overloaded it. relatives and survivors reached, out of court settlements. >> police are on the hunt for a woman, suspected of robbing a san ramon bank. cameras captured photos of the suspect. pretty clear. robbery happened about 1:30 this afternoon. if you recognize this woman, call san ramon, pd. >> an investigation, startling information about sfo. according to the report there were at least three airport

perimeter breaches last year. sfo executives not providing details on the incident. insist it wasn't a security breach. this isn't the first time the airport has come under fire. according to a separate investigation by associated press last year. sfo had more breaches than any other u.s. airport. >> california lined with beautiful beaches up and down the state. but it also has some that need to be cleaned up. for example, cal beach, right by santa cruz wharf, the worst water quality of any public beach in the state. according to an environmental group. other local beaches on the list, sunnyvale cove, candlestick park, and half moon bay. and rankings based on fecal bacteria, animal waste, and if swallowed the water has potential to make people sick. >> san jose high school student has gone viral. t.j. and friend put on a pair of
