dawn. light sprinkles were falling. >> let's take a look at the weather where you live. and abc7 news anchor spencer christian is tracking the storm. hey, spencer. >> rain is becoming more wide spread in the last hour or so. you can see we have pockets of rain and scattered showers. let's close into parts of the south bay and east bay. we have a line of showers now from san ramone are, south ward to fremont and into south bay. and in the north bay, wide spread rain in parts of marin county. and just pockets of light, scattered showers. and we don't have many locations reporting measurable rain. we have 1/100ths in san jose and hayward. just trace amounts just beginning to report rainfall. here is our forecast animation at 7:00 this evening.

we'll see by 10:00 p.m., in the east and south bay. by morning we'll see the area of rainfall lifting to the north bay. i'll show where it's going in just a moment. >> we talk about the storm impact scale. it's another thing to see it happen. abc7 news joins us to show how a slight or light storm can have big impact. >> you will realize some jobs depend on weather conditions. threatening skies, going to have a chilling impact. customers stay away and sometimes, employees have to go home without pay. when the forecast is favorable, hr detailing handles 100 or more cars per day. today, it's been slow. >> we have about 40 people daily

we introduced you to beatrice allen, she lived in the home 30 years. a tech investor bought it for his ailing mother-in-law. today, he rescinded the notice without saying why. cal's former assistant coach already has a new job tonight. he is now an assistant coach at the university of nevada reno. this a day after he dropped his appeal at cal. seems like common sense if you're committing a crime, don't record yourself doing it. an arsonist that admitted to starting the king fire did that. took almost a month to be contained in that time, flames burned nearly 100,000 acres and destroyed a dozen homes. abc7 news was in placerville today. the man set the fire pled guilty and was sentenced.

>> reporter: after first denying he was there, this video is one piece of evidence prosecutors had incriminating the now admitted arsonist. wayne allen huntsman. the video shows him standing near the fire. now, he's an admitted arsonist. >> probably the most remorseful person i've ever represented. this was very difficult for him. >>. >> reporter: the fire destroyed 12 homes and burning 97,000 acres. huntsman said i have cried for victims. i love people and mother nature, my heart hurts for the pain

caused. among those in the courtroom were some of the victims. >> made a mistake. you know? it cost a lot of people a lot of heart burn. >> he asked for forgiveness, will you give it to him? >> you have to forgive everybody. >> huntsman made a call to 911 to report the fire. he's now admitted setting. >> there is a forest fire in the house. it's a big fire, and cooling off now. >> huntman was sentenced to 20 years and ordered to pay $60 million in restitution. >> in placerville, abc7 news. the sheriff posted noum knot one, but nine videos showing a confrontation between a deputy

and a teenager. >> you're not allowed to do that. you're not allowed to go out of the car. >> this shows the 18-year-old getting in between the vehicle and the deputy after more arguing he was forced to the ground and detained. one point the video we heard his mother say we didn't have a warrant and no legal premise for getting into the vehicle. she's right. >> he was doing his job, out, patrolling the streets and came across a group of people, there was yelling and screaming. someone was crying. he was trying to determine if there was somebody a victim of a type of crime. the teenager's attney claims he was only charged with resisting arrest to derail a police brutality lawsuit. >> we know why a man beaten by deputies was arrested. he faces charges and u.s.

attorneys unsealed a case against petrov today. it says he entered a not guilty plea to firearm charges. we are live with the latest. melanie? >> he burned back several times to look at his mother, he said her son suffers from ptsd following that incident. and this complaint, however, paints a different picture. according to the fbi, he is a career criminal, who is a danger to officers and bystanders. april 1ing agents aested him and his girlfriend at this home on firearm and drug trafficking charges. according to the complaint, both are associated with a gang. the fbi says petrov and moraga.

at the same home, agents discovered the couple with 125 games of methamphetamine and arrested the couple. the d.a. discharged the case because of the investigation. plea and a half weeks later, the feds arrested both. that morning a man was shot outside of the home. there is a growing memorial. by phone he says he grew up with petrov they had.

he drove up to 110 miles per hour to evade police that night. a hearing is scheduled for april 18th. if indicted before then, that hearing won't be necessary. today, his toush r attorney says his client's background is complex. in the newsroom, abc7 news. right now the president is in san francisco raising mp for the democratic party. then, to the home of susan sandler. and just minutes ago, hundreds cheered from the sidewalk, the motorcade left for his second fund-raiser.

>> reporter: those details coming from a briefing held today and yes, there is new video. that video is shot from a camera across the street over there. this video doe the shooting but tells us is that the incident took about 30 seconds from the time the officers confronted the man to when the shooting stopped. the 45-year-old died from wounds at the hospital after being shot near the tent where he lived on shotwell street. police responded to a call with a man with a knife. the chief says they fired bean bags but to no avail and two officers then fired about seven

rounds. >> statements indicate the subject was armed with a knife. >> police commander said they've interviewed more than 10 witnesses. >> wits heard shots, saw the suspect with a knife after the shooting. the suspect was flailing as he ran orders officers. >> the fourth witness was this man. the homeless man we spoke with yesterday. his account conta dikts what the others said. >> we saw the knife after he fell and het the ground. that is when the knife fell out from his shirt and hit the cement. >> comparisons are being made to the controversial shooting of mario woods in december.

we know there are multiple victims and probably more coming forward. >> tonight, the search for more victims of a suspected child mostestor. police say at least three young girls were molested and videotaped at what clinica monument. >> the suspect is a former dental assistant. this investigation just getting started. >> reporter: patients say it makes them sick. >> this is disgusting. >> it's really bad. you know? really scary. >> police say they've interviewed three victims, all girls, under 10. >> we know there is probably going more coming forward.

>> reporter: police identified victims by looking at videos they say he recorded. >> he is pulling their pants down and videotaping their private areas and also, videotaping their face in some videos. >> reporter: he remains in jail on $8.1 million bond, charged with forceable lewd acts on a child, including one prosecutors say he assaulted three times and possessing child pornography. >> there were enhance manies added. >> police is been flooded with calls from parents wondering if their parents will be note bid. maria says her kids see a different dentist. >> do you go with them? >> i go in every time. >> reporter: state law say there is no law prohibiting parents to stay with the child.
