live where you live, this is abc7 news. good evening. i'm eric thomas. thank you for joining us. authorities fear an 18-year-old tracee woman may be dead after her car plunged into a creek but they can't be sure because conditions are just too dangerous for them to enter. investigators say the driver crashed into a car yesterday at files canyon road and slid into the alameda creek in castro valley. witnesses say the car bobd on the water before sinking below. pictures from the bay area news group show searchers along the alameda creek today. they have only searched the land because the fast moving water is packed with debris that could be zang rouse or deadly for divers.
they believe the woman may not have escaped her car. in san francisco large waves hit the shoreline. up to 25 feet on sam california shores. a high surf advisory is in effect through tuesday. in south san francisco, a tree came crashing down on aome family inside. it ripped a hole in their roof. they were not hurt. in sonoma county a driver had to be towed after being stalled on a flooded road. cornell barnard has details. >> there is no absorption and you get runoff. >> reporter: too much rain has flood out highway 37 in novato for the second time in nearly a week. the flood control district says this time the water is even higher. >> when you have storms like we have had it might as well be falling on concrete, there is no absorption. >> reporter: caltrans tried pumping the water out but it's flooding back in just as fast.
>> we're kind of pumping in circles right now. >> reporter: one driver's car got stuck in the flooding and they had to be rescued. >> i can't believe somebody did that. they have got to be regretting that decision. >> reporter: check out this shot from marin city were two lanes of southbound 101 were flood out. the exit ramp to sausalito cut off completely. in sonoma county this mudslide and downed trees are causing problems for residents in forestville. summer home park road is closed in both directions as crews clean up the giantr giant mess of rock and debris. the interintersection of highway 12 and 121 in shellville looks more like a lake. it's closed to traffic. runoff from sonoma creek is the culprit. no wane tasting today. this driveway impossible to travel and down the road quiet at anna belle winery because no one could get here. >> the routes are either blocked

first thing out the door tomorrow. storm impact scale, a light system threw monday evening. scattered showers and light winds. the problem is our ground is already saturated that a light shower could exacerbate the flooding issue. flchd watch has been extended through monday evening, 6:00 in the even for the majority of the bay area. that means as a shower develops and moves lieu the potential is there very easily for more flooding to happen along with rapid rises on our creeks and rock and mudslides are possible. monday morning you notice showers are isolated. as you step out the door grab the umbrella. notice it's not raining everywhere. the showers are there. you will be dodging drops floutd the day. future weather showing an unsettled monday. showers in the forecast through the afternoon. and even for the evening commute we will likely be tracking showers moving through. what will happen on tuesday in
