songs nye county prosecutors say former n-b-a player lamar odom won't be facing charges. odom was found unconscious at a southern nevada brothel with cocaine in his system. the district attorney says the evidence didn't prove odom used the drug during his three days in the county. she said the cocaine had already metabolized when he was hospitalized in october, making it difficult to determine the time he had used it. odom had been found unconscious at the love ranch brothel in crystal. the odom family said he left a los angeles hospital last week for a private facility.### the supreme court may soon deal a major blow to organized labor. the high court is considering a case, regarding the free speech of government workers-- who say they shouldn't be forced to pay fees to public

"what they do know is in short-term effects can be neurological problems and gastro-intestinal problems, and we're concerned about that. we don't want to be a bunch of guinea pigs." to date, socal gas says some three thousand homes have been outfitted with air purifiers... but families living in another 25 hundred homes have
relocated. "the whole family's been sick. the kids, they've been sick, too." "anything that'll stop that odor and stop people from getting sick. the effects that it's had on the community, which means people leaving from our businesses are suffering. i mean, it's tough." while the company apologizes for the unpleasant smell of the odorant in the natural gas on its website, it maintains that the leak "does not pose an imminent threat to public safety." saturday's day-long hearing was to review a proposal developed by air quality regulators and socal gas to control the leak. the plan involves using pollution control equipment to capture the gas and treat it to remove the odorant... so the gas can be recovered or burned off. and gas company officials say they welcome the public review. "we recognize that expert public agency involvement and oversight is essential to assuring our neighbors and customers and the general public that this accident is being addressed as safely and expeditiously as possible."
