impact on a candidate's campaign. it's one of the oldest forms of political messaging around. colors like red, white and blue are typically used--however designers say some candidates use different colors to separate themselves from the pack. the signs are part of a larger picture for the candidate to solidify support-- but also to sway the undecided voter. one local professor says campaigns spend millions of dollars on visual presentation. "s/daniel bouweraerts/prof graphic communications tmcc that combined with how you put yourself on the internet and social media it all kind of creates this whole visual presentation that really starts to connect hopefully with the voter." experts says the obama campaign of 2- thousand-8-- elevated the campaign sign and successfully conveyed a name that was not familiar to everyone. and there was a refinement that pushed other candidates to make their signs more sophisticated. officials in thailand say

is not a part of missing malaysia airlines flight 370. a large piece of curved metal was found by a fisherman on friday. both malaysian and thai officials inspected the debris-- and concluded that the metal does not belong to the same kind of aircraft as the missing flight. malaysia airlines flight 370 disappeared in march of 2014 with 239 people on board. sh a texas grand jury has cleared planned parenthood of wrongdoing over a series of controversial undercover videos. vo the videos appeared to suggest planned parenthood illegally sold fetal tissue and the jury instead indicted the two anti- abortion activists behind the staged videos controversy. tampering of a governmental record. one of the activists leads the "center for medical progress", an anti-abortion group that released the planned parenthood videos. planned parenthood alleges the group edited the footage to suggest it sells fetal tissue for profit.

for dozens of people living in an apartment complex along the california coast. inspectors with the city of pacifica say the el nino related storms have made the area unsafe, as the land beneath the building gives way. tenants have been told to move out, but some aren't budging. "monica montoya: i have nowhere else to go. i just moved in two months and i don't have it like other people have it where people can just pick up and leave. i don't have money like that." each of the building's 20 units were yellow- tagged yesterday-- which means they are under restricted occupancy. city inspectors have been monitoring the building for a while now. if the tenant's refuse to move out, they could be criminally prosecuted. some major developments out of michigan. the attorney general is now launching a criminal investigation into the flint water crisis. this-- as we get a look at new images of long lines of children, being tested for lead poisoning. here's abc's alex perez.

how healthy are you? it's a question many companies are asking their employees in an effort to curb rising health care costs. in fact many companies are adopting wellness plans to encourage healthy habits. employees do on-site blood, body-mass, and cholesterol tests. but some companies are taking it a step farther, and are denying health care all together to employees who don't participate. many federal courts say this is perfectly legal as long as data acquired from the wellness programs is used for purposes of overall health.

this is shaping up to be a record game all around..... not only is the nfl ditching the traditional roman numerals to mark the 50th anniversary... it could be peyton manning's final game... and it's shaping up to be the most expensive sporting event ever. ... right now... the the average resale price of a ticket for the matchup between the carolina panthers and denver broncos is just about 5 thousand 2 hundred dollars that's according to ticket price tracker seatgeek. they have tickets ranging from just under 4 thousand to 15 thousand.... and other ticket resale websites like stub hub are posting similar prices... a pair of club seats near midfield have already sold for $12,100 each, making them the most expensive seats sold so far. these prices put this game on track to be not only the most expensive super bowl but the most expensive event... the current record holder is the mayweather- pacquiao fight... which had average ticket prices around 46 hundred dollars.

potty break...landed her in a half marathon! earlier this month, "ludivine" the bloodhound wound up at the starting line of the elkmont half marathon. she trotted along with the runners for the entire 13-point-one-miles and finished in seventh place!
