sad news to report this morning.. placer county deputies say they found the body of missing ski instructor, 23-year-old carson may yesterday. a search and rescue team found his body during a trainning session, near sugar bowl. may was reported missing at the ski resort on january 15th. crews searched the area for four days... but could not find him. yesterday... a crew went back to the area where may's cell phone was last pinged... and found the ski instructor, under five feet of snow. scary moments for passengers on an allegiant flight from mesa, arizona to bellingham, washington. according to the elko daily free press.... the plane was forced to land in elko yesterday afternoon because of an electrical odor inside the plane. a spokesperson for the airline says the plane landed safetly and there were no injuries. no word yet on what triggered that electrical smell. governor brian sandoval will join officials from the nevada governor's office of energy for a ribbon cutting ceremony today to celebrate nevada's first

station in beatty. its part of the nevada electric highway project that supports electric vehicle use in the state -- ultimately benefiting the environment and nevada's economy. the knitting factory is closing, but you can still see your favorite artists at the same spot. our winter got off to a great start... bringing us above average snowfall. but now we're falling behind. hydrologists are hoping that history repeats itself... in terms of a a miracle march. "in 2013 we were just done. it shut off after january 1st and we were done. but other years, even in 95 which was about our second biggest year, we had a significant dry spell in there about this time of year, and we thought we were done and then march came and we just got pounded." currently... our snowpack is at 96- percent of normal. which would be great news if we weren't trying to recover from a drought. last month's water content of the sierra

felonious assault and making terroristic threats. authorities have an idea of the motive for the shooting, but they are not yet releasing it. on april 5th. president obama confronted republican senate leaders today over their insistence no supreme court nominee will be considered this year. senate majority leader mitch mcconnell... committee chairman democratic leader harry reid, top judiciary committee democrat patrick leahy and vice president biden attended the oval office meeting. yesterday... the white house conceded the meeting was unlikely to produce any meaningful potential nominees. the final batch of e- mails from hillary clinton's tenure as secretary of state has been released. that makes makes nearly 55-thousand pages of e-mails reviewed by the state department... with nearly 21-hundred messages containing information that is now classified. the fbi is still investigating whether

by using a private server....which has allowed clinton's rivals to use the possibility of an indictment as ammunition in the presidential race. a small town in idaho has some very unorthodox welcome signs. they let people know -- many people there are armed. jake leber reports. --reporter pkg-as follows-- if you drive through the small town of greenleaf in canyon county... nats: you'll be greeted by this sign... "welcome to greenleaf...this is not a gun free zone." "we are a big family out here in greenleaf. it's a small town. i think all of us having a gun shows that we are a respectable society." the town of just over 800... which also urges residents to own firearms in its city code... put up the five signs a few months ago. the idaho transportation department had to approve two of them... because they're placed on highway 19...which is a state route. a city council member says...despite some early opposition...feedback on the signs has been

everyone i spoke to was all for them... but some think the wording is "when they first went up, i actually had to read them twice because the "not a gun free zone"...you kind of have to read that. i wish i was a little more clear." i asked locals why they thought the signs were necessary...since they say crime in the town is practically non- most said it's just an extra layer of "there's a place...a right place be used and we should have from criminals...and hopefully these kind of signs deter crime in the long run." residents say the town's overall stance on gun rights has drawn more people to live in the town, rather than scaring people off. as for the cost, a city council member said the signs were paid for through private donations, so it did not cost the city any money. a google self driving car has been in the first accident in which the car was at fault. according to the california d-m-v, on

testing on the streets of mountain view, california when it struck a bus. the google car was looking to move into the left lane to avoid sand bags placed in the right lane. the car anticipated an approaching bus would slow down, but it did not. there were no injuries, just some damage to the google car's fender and some sensors. nasa is investing in the potential revival of supersonic jet travel. the space agency has granted a 20-million dollar contract to lockheed martin to develop a passenger jet that can fly faster than the speed of sound. nasa says the plan is intended to make flying safer, greener and quieter. this shows a preliminary design. supersonic commercial jet travel ended more than a decade ago with the grounding of concorde planes ... which were high maintenance and required a lot of fuel and special parts. espn reporter and dancing with the stars host...erin andrews

"all i wanted to do is be the girl next door that loves sports. now i'm the girl with the hotel scandal. it's embarrassing." andrews contends the hotel was negligent in revealing to her stalker - michael david barrett - she was a guest, giving him her room number, and then giving him a room next door. he recorded her undressing through a peephole. "i'm so angry. this could have been stopped. the nashville marriott could have just called me and said we're putting this man that requested to be next to you is this ok? and i would've called the cops." andrews shedding more tears as she recalled how the videos were reviewed by some as a "publicity stunt."
