"got this blanket and it's amazing." "it has been very
nearly 1 in 4 shoppers wait late into the holiday season to finish their shopping this year. "picking up last minute items."how many last minute items have you gotten so far? "i have three, i have three more to get."the national retail federation says the average holiday shopper completed about 50% of their shopping by the second week of december. and about one third of those shoppers bought their holiday gifts this last week. "we got a lot of stuff. we're going to see santa today. retail experts say, jewelry, clothing, and shoes are among the products with the deepest discounts compared to last year.and the national retail federation says, sales could increase by 3.7% this holiday season compared to last year. "and we're looking for dresses for our winter formal and stuff. so it's like great to come here around christmas and find things.""a lot of people out here. i enjoy seeing the kids.""i just wish everybody

to utilize the orpheum, such a great facility, to share the christmas story with people and the love of jesus is a great opportunity."a total of nearly 6-thousand people attended the three services...one service held at 2 and at 4 this afternoon. 3 parts of siouxland are looking at a white christmas after all... thanks to a snowy start to christmas eve.while sioux city only saw about an inch of snow this morning... most of which quickly melted... areas south of highway 20 saw between 2 and 4 inches... making travel treacherous. more than a dozen accidents were reported in the sioux city metro alone this morning... and it was even worse in the des moines and omaha areas, which saw nearly half a foot of snow. a strech of i- 80 between omaha and des moines was even briefly closed... as well as a stretch of i-35 in central iowa... though both are now open to traffic again. 3 3 christmas eve calls for chilly and mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures in the mid

suicide.the bodies of 37- year- old josh klinetobe (kline-tobe) of tilden and his 37- year- old wife bobbi jo of meadow grove were found monday afternoon in a burning pickup in a field nine miles northwest of pierce.investigators believe josh klinetobe killed his wife before taking his own life and setting the pickup on fire.a fund for the couple's seven children has been set up at the tilden state bank.and a gofundme page is also accepting donations. it currently has a total 75- hundred dollars.if you'd like to contribute... we've listed that information on our website at siouxland news dot com. 3 3 investigators also releasing the names of two people killed in a two- car accident near newell iowa yesterday afternoon.the buena vista county sheriff's office says 19- year- old juan lopez and 46- year- old maria gaitan, both of fonda, were pronounced dead at the scene of that crash near the racoon river bridge on highway 7.the driver of the other vehicle and a 7- year- old child were taken to buena vista regional medical center in storm lake for treatment of
