still hovering in a low thirties for most portions of the bay area. as we walk through what is on tap for the inland areas we're near or below freezing. as we headed to the afternoon partly cloudy skies and temperatures ranging from a low-mid-50s. we have a slight potential for rainfall. 30 percent chance as we head into the late afternoon and evening hours. that chance does increase as we head into wednesday and thursday. as we take a look at current temperatures and what is on tap, oakland in redwood city are coming in at 39 degrees. hayward and redwood city are both coming in at 53 degrees. 50 over and half moon bay. it looks like we will see partly cloudy skies and a santa rosa.

let's get an update from authorities on the scene. >> we suspect there is a one of the gunman. that individual is in custody in do we have for students that have been injured and transported to local hospitals. what we want to do is interview as many people as we can and will work together to find out exactly what happened this morning. >>justine: all of the students have been evacuated out of high school and are now at a nearby elementary school. we are still waiting for information as far as the condition of those students and their injuries. we are also trying to find out whether or not that gun menace is a student to but we do know that the gunman is in custody in the lockdown is over. f i will be back with an update in a few minutes.

that shows you swat team arriving on the scene one shooter is in custody. that person possibly might have been a student. the new information is that five students have been taken to hospital. medical helicopters arrived on the scene to take those kids, that is an indication on how bad their injuries are. parents have rushed to the school to pick up their kids as the school is on lockdown for several hours. sheriff and a local police officers are investigating.
