pam moore>>:new gruesome images of wednesday attack - as new links just uncovered: one of the suspects had traveled to yemen and trained with al qaeda. mr. reporter>>: u-s officials tell cnn that as late as 20-11, the older brother, said, received weapons and training from aqap - al qaeda in the arabian peninsula one of the most violent affiliates of the terror group. in addition, french sources tell cnn that one of the brothers also traveled in the past year to syria. after scrubbing their databases, the u-s has found that both brothers have been on the no-fly list for years. police sources say the brothers were known to french authorities before the attack. the younger brother, cherif, was convicted in 2008 for being part of a jihadist recruitment ring that sent fighters to iraq. "we need to combat them with a

change the number of lanes in either direction, during morning and evening commutes. kron-4's jeff bush is live marin county. jeff what are some alternate routes commuters can take this weekend? jeff bush>>: this time tomorrow night, workers will be getting ready to shut down the golden gate bridge. but we found a couple different ways to get back and forth. you could take the ferrythe golden gate bridge district says they will be making extra runs over the weekendboth out of larkspur and out of sausalitothe down side is that those ferry's will likely be packed with people. you could drive across the richmond bridge and then the bay bridge. you could also take the busthey will be the only vehicles allowed on the golden gate bridge during the weekend shut down. and, there is one more way to get across the baywater taxi. the tideline water taxi company is offering a special deal for

investigating a mystery. after the discovery of what appears to be a skull. kron 4's scott rates has more on the gruesome find. scott rates>>: uncovering a human skull is not to what some stumbles upon every day, but that's exactly what was found thursday afternoon. it was found next to the homeless account encampment. officers spent hours on the scene investigating didn't turn down out to any other evidence.

pam moore>>: a concord teenager is in stable condition. after being stabbed multiple times wednesday night. police found the boy lying on grant avenue around ten- o clock. they say, he and friend were walking down the street. when a car pulled in front of them. police say, two men got out of the car and asked if the teenager was in a gang. when the boy said no , police say one of the men shot at him but missed. they say the other man in the car then stabbed the teenager multiple times. police are still looking for the suspects. no word on the motive for the attack. today. california's long time u.s. senator barbara boxer announced. she is retiring. senator boxer delivered the news in a video posted on social media. during an interview with her grandson. in it, she says she will not seek re-election on 2016. boxer says, she is leaving washington to spend more time

police also say, it is a necessary resource for protecting first responders however. not everyone supports buying the new vehicle. the san leandro city council must approve the purchase. no charges will be filed against the san jose police officer who posted controversial tweets about the black lives matter protests. deputy officials say officer phillip white's tweets were a response to a threatening message left on his phone. luis says officer white was threatened because of earlier tweets about the protests. white will not face charges because the d-a could not find anyone who felt directly threatened by the tweets. animal rights groups including peta, are protesting a decision that puts foie gras back on the menu in california. protesters gathered outside a restaurant on market street in san francisco today. the delicacy. made of fattened duck or goose liver. was banned in california in 2012. but a federal judge found. the
