counties through tomorrow afternoon. flooding is expected. still sonoma county officials are keeping an eye on the creek. the creek may top its banks which could lead to flooding at a nearby compground. an apartment building on a cliff met its end this weekend.

into the bus. police started their investigation looking for shell casings. the police shut down the freeway. i counted at least eight bull let holes many the bus. it must have been a local ber weapon because it didn't go through the aluminum. police are relying on the bus driver because they say all the couples were uncooperative. police are asking anyone with information to give them a call. in oakland i'm averi harper. in the south bay a chaotic scene police say was targeted just before 11:00 last night. a man walked into the restaurant and opened fire on two men. one of the victims died. police say the other victim is expected to survive.

investigators say the victims were specifically targeted. as for the suspect they don't have leads but are confident that the man will be caught. >>. >> the suspect should consider turning himself in. we have a pretty good solve rate here so people are going to dime him out and we want him to consider his options and probably contacting the police department would be his best option to resolve this quickly. >> police say it's unclear if the shooting was gang related. it's the city's ninth homicide of the year. a few hours late a man opened fire on three san jose police in a subway parking lot. they have since identified the su. >> at least one patrol car hit

by gunfire toed away just hours after the shootout. shell casings were found on the ground. >> we are very fortunate that we did not lose an officer. >> 24-year-old steven opened fire on three patrol officers using this assault rifle and somehow none of the officers were hit. >> it shoots many rounds. >> just before 3 :30 saturday morning three officers responded to a store on fruitdale avenue were a man opened fire and drove off. >> they followed the vehicle and initiated a high risk felony stop on that call. >> when they reached the parking lot on the avenue garcia says the officers ordered the man and his passenger only the man did so but not peacefully instead

pointing his rifle towards and shooting at the officers. >> the suspect was wounded and taken into custody. >> garcia says the passenger was questioned and released. >> he was hospitalized before being booked into jail on three counts of attempted murder on a police officer. >> i can't state enough the bravery and heroism of the officers. >> all three police officers have been placed on administration leave. this is the second police officer involved shooting of the year. >> and a robbery suspect died in the east bay last night just before 10 p.m. there was a report of a robbery in newark an employee made that call saying the a man with a gun was demanding the cash register

weekend. this comes as a huge relief for the conditions caused by an almost four year drought. the state gets about a third of its water supply from the sierra snow pack. we're getting closer to where we need to be. with this new snow it's going to make for a fun weekend for skiiers. biran van aken is a skier himself. you're really excited i imagine. >> i did get on skis once but i didn't really do it. >> definitely lots of snow. i don't know if it's so much fun for drivers. we have chain requirements on # 0 and 50 and that's going to be the case through monday afternoon as we have a long stretch of snowy weather and a long stretch of rain in the bay area. we are get ago little bit of a

moisture extending all the way out. this is going to be right on top of us tomorrow. but a big change comes our way as we go into monday. the whole pattern changes and we're going to sunny and dry. police arrested the suspect who crashed into two dog sled teams in alaska today. the race took a nasty turn when a snow mobile crashed injuring several dogs and killing one. the man responsible says he was drunk at the time and says he is sorry. investigators on the other hand say he purposely struck the two teams this morning. dimoksi is facing assault and other charges for his actions. coming up no rain on this st. patty's day parade.

sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for suspects on the loose for two separate robberies. they entered unoccupied homes. it happened on hourtd avenue and cordalera avenue. they are hoping for information leading to an arrest. still no sign of the burglars who broke into a store twice. during the first breakin thursday the thief rams his suv into the entrance. he gets away with several car nagation systems.
