now at eight. a community thanksgiving dinner ends in tragedy. three people are dead and others sickened after a meal at this center in antioch. east bay officials say as many as 8=hundred other people ate

the same meal. we are working with environmental health division to determine whether this is an outbreak of food=borne illness. whoosh in oakland. a neighborhood shocked by a daytime outbreak of gunfire. what we are learning about the murder of two young men. whoosh residents of san francisco's sinking millenium tower got some more bad news today. we'll tell you what a satellite image revealed. whoosh and it's cyber monday. if you're worried about missing out on the best deals. tech reporter gabe slate is here to help. you're watching kron four news in prime time. now at 8. was it this dinner or something else? that's the big question after a mysterious illness kills three people --- and sickens several others in antioch. you're looking at one of the meals served to more than 800 people at a church dinner. but right now health officials are not sure if food is what caused the illness. tonight the contra costa health department says there is no threat to the public. but one person is still in the hospital tonight. thank you for joining us i'm steve aveson. and i'm vicki liviakis in for pam moore tonight. tonight kron-4's j-r stone is live from the church that hosted

the event. but first let's check in with alecia reid. alecia who is at the health department alecia? we have team coverage on this story tonight. kron 4's j.r. stone is live in brentwood where the church that organized this dinner is located. j.r. you talked with a number of homeless people in antioch tonight. pam, i've talked with a number of homeless people in antioch tonight who were shocked to hear the news and scared after hearing the news. the thanksgiving dinner at the american legion was thrown by the golden hills community church. you can see the main location here in brentwood. church leaders would not talk with us on camera. you can see one of the church locations in antioch. they did issue a statement saying county officials have informed us that the source of the illness is not known and could have come from any of a number of sources. the golden hills community church is a very large church with a congregation of more than 35-hundred. volunteers who served at the dinner say the food was heated and they wore gloves. homeless people i talked with say that in general they are often given expired food. they fear some of the food may have been expired and those i talked with blame a lack of restrictions. apparantly it makes people sick and makes people die that's very unhealthy like for a city like this to be putting out food like that. they should be taking care of their people here instead of making them sick and die. very sad and i feel sorry for their families but we gotta do something to this county making the food like that. the food shouldn't be put out to us

breaking news out of the east bay. a homicide investigation underway right now in castro valley. this is happening on wilson avenue and redwood road. details are still coming into the newsroom.but we know at least one person is dead. this is video just in from the scene no word yet on how they were killed or if someone is in custody. the alameda county sheriff's office is investigating. we have a crew headed to the scene.stay with us for updates. the search is on tonight for a suspect wanted in connection with a double murder in oakland. two men were gunned down this morning on 39-th and martin luther king junior way. police say the victims had driven to the are a shortly before being shot.

neighbors were visibly upset over the deadly attack. there's a lot of emotions, these were somebody's brothers , somebody's child, no community or neighborhood should have to experience what they just did one of the victims is linked to a home in the neighborhood.

police are hoping someone will come forward with information about those responsible. san francisco's sinking millennium tower has gotten attention all around the worldand even out of it. the european space agency has taken some pictures that show the sinking might be worse than we all thought. kron four's spencer blake is live in the soma district tonight take a look at what they captured from space. >> reporter: engineers' original sinking estimates - 1 inch per year scientist analysed e-s-a data, found it sunk 1.6-1.8 inches in recent one year period. 17-month period - 2.6 to 2.9 inches. earlier this month, s.f. city attorney sued developers for not telling residents it was sinking before they bought it. millions blocked from transbay transit center in september, which has been blamed for the sinking. transit center reps say it's the building's own fault because

it has concrete beams, no bedrock foundation. live in san francisco, spencer blake, kron four news. >> steve:a north bay family is holding the funeral for a four year old --who was drowned at a healsdburg church. the girl's father is now charged in her death. gerardo ordaz was in court today. he sat numbly during the quick proceeding.

then a judge suspended court so ordaz could be further evaluated by a doctor. as he was being wheeled out he cried out "why did i kill my daughter, why did i not kill myself." meanwhile a growing memorial inside saint john the baptist church where the four year girl died. at the memorial - a picture of maria sits on a table, surrounded by flowers, and stuffed animals. the pool has been drained. an autopsy has been performed but it is not complete - a go fund account has been set up for the family. a nine-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bart train today. >> britteny: going to the weather we have a chance of rain in the north bay but in the next couple of days specially tomorrow and at the ridge of high pressure will shift and keep us nice and dry and a 46 in livermore. a cool my right now san francisco high as around the region as a portion to to marlowe's '60s sandro's the nevada 63 napa. average for this

time of year san francisco 60 degrees of there will be just a few degrees below average and to most of the workweek more details on that coming up and our next forecast + was in store and a seven day in 10 minutes >> steve:a bart spokesperson says the girl was sitting on the train when a man next to her began touching her on the leg and buttocks. a family member intervened and the family exited the train to report the crime. the suspect stayed on the train. officers were able to detain the him and at least one witness. the suspect was able to positively identify the man as 26-year-old marcus brown. brown was taken into custody for sexual battery and annoying and molesting a child. police say a man shot by a movie theater security guard in concord was intoxicated and making threats prior to the incident.

steve's here with information regarding last night's confrontation.before the shooting. officers have indentified the suspect as 25-year-old anthony countee of richmond. they say countee was unarmed.but was extremely inebriated. when he walked into the movie theater without a ticket.the security guard stopped him. that's when countee allegedly became confrontational and told the security guard he had a gun.and wasn't afraid to use it. the guard chased him outside and shot him multiple times his injuries are not considered life-threateneing. police say countee was arrested on suspicion of making felony threats. the guard was questioned and released by investigators. a gunman opened fire inside a popular benicia sports bar shooting two mennow police believe they nabbed the suspect. officers say this man on your screen 33-year-old daniel lopezwas arrested last night just before 11. lopez is suspected of shooting two men yesterday morning around one.at the "bottom of the fifth bar". lopez got into an argument that didn't involve the victims, and fled after the shooting. both victims are currently in stable condition. lopez was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a firearm

a scary scene in the skies. for passengers aboard a united flight that took off from san francisco international airport this afternoon. the flight headed to japan. was forced to turn around and head back to s-f-o after one of its four engines experienced a mechanical problem. the plane was able to landed safely. with 202 passengers and 15 crew members aboard. around 1:30 this afternoon. no word on how old the plane is. or if it had experienced mechacnical problems in the past.

all the care your family needs. all connected for you. tempers flare in the courtroom as a suspect in a hate crime killing goes before a judge. and next was terrorism a motive? that's the question investigators are looking into tonight. after a student stabs 9 people with a butcher knife. he plowed his car into students. before pulling out a butcher knife and stabbing more. it happened all in a matter of minutes.on ohio state university campus today. as the school recovers from an attack that left the suspect dead. . authorities are now investigating what led the 18- year-old man to violence. brynn gingras reports.

tonight university police naming the suspected attacker as o-s-u student abdul razak ali artan. a federal law enforcement official tells cnn he was an 18 year-old somali citizen who lived in the area. a u.s. official says he was a legal permanent resident. investigators are still working on determining motive. and can't rule out terror at this point chief kim jacobs: "we have to consider that it is that possibility. you know, we had an attack earlier this year with a man with a knife causing multiple injuries. so we're always aware that that's the potential, and we're going to continue to look at that. that's why our federal partners are here and helping." police say the attacker deliberately jumped the curb with a car and rammed into a group of pedestrians. a federal official tells cnn the car used in the attack was registered to a family member. monica moll: "around 9:52 a.m., the emergency dispatch center got a report that a vehicle had struck pedestrians." he then continued to attackslashing people with a knife chief craig stone:"he exited the vehicle and used a butcher knife to start cutting pedestrians."less than a minute later, the attacker was confronted by a police officer. chief craig stone:"he engaged the suspect and he eliminated the threat. the suspect is doa."within minutes

of the attack, a campus wide alert went out, reporting an "active shooter on campus. run hide fight." a federal law enforcement official tells cnn the gunshots reported may have been of the police officer shooting the attacker. on campus, students and faculty blocked doorways and hid while waiting for the all- clear.anthony falzarano:"our teacher ran and locked the door. at the same time we all saw a ton -- heard a bunch of sirens, a bunch of, like, cop cars all just started flooding towards that area."rachel lemaster:"it's scary, it was really scary. we barricaded ourselves in our rooms like we were taught, turned off our lights, and just hunkered down"at least ten people were injured in the attack none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. over the weekend, president elect donald trump stirred up yet another controversy by tweeting that he believed there was serious voter fraud in the election. >> steve: >> vicki:he also, falsely, claims to be winning the popular vote in the presidential election because millions of people had voted illegally. as his latest drama unfolds, many recounts are already underway including here in the bay area. in santa clara county election officials have kicked off an effort to decide 10 close

races. kron 4's charles clifford has details. nats early monday morning, 150 staff members and volunteers at the santa clara county registrar of voters began carefully recounting ballots. nats county laws requires an additional audit of votes in any contest where the results are within one half of one percent. this year 10 races were close enough to trigger a recount. nats philip chantry is spokesperson for the registrar of voters. sots over the weekend, president elect donald trump claimed, without proof, that there was voter fraud in california. the claim raised more than a few eyebrows here in santa clara county. sot those kinds of comments are really unfortunate for us here because we are still in the process of conduction the election. officials here say they are confident that the election results will be accurate. they

note that amoung other safeguards, all voters in the county are required to provide a social security number or drivers license and that each ballot is checked with a state database to ensure its legitimacy. during the recount effort there are also multiple observers making sure each ballot is accurately tallied. sot voters in santa clara county should have complete confidence in the integrity of their system. standup finally, election officials here in santa clara county say it will take about a week to complete the recount and they have until december 8th to certify the results of the election with the state. in the south bay, charles clifford kron 4 news. >> vicki:president elect donald trump met with former c-i-a director and retired general david petraeus today. petraeus could be in line for a cabinet nomination --- which is turning some heads. petraeus was president obama's c-i-a director before resigning amid an sex scandal with his biographer who he shared classified information with. meanwhile the defense department is conducting an investigation
