dispute gone bad just yesterday police say that 23 year-old woman was killed by her boyfriend and daly city and found her is suffering from severe injuries to her head and eventually she died at the hospital. she eventually died at the police later arrested 23-year old fredrick tran. and in a third case this past wednesday. ian irby was killed when police say his girlfriend ran him over with her car following an argument. it happened in the parking lot of the glenwood apartments in hercules. officers tell us a witness called to report that 19 year- old desire borela was driving in circles with irby trapped under the car. by the time officers arrived irby was dead. borela is charged with vehicular manslaughter. in casto valley - firefighters found one woman dead when they responded to a residential fire there. kron 4's hermela aregawi is near the scene of that blaze. she joins us live with more details. just make the map. show these two addresses that fire happened just a short drive away from where another woman was found dead in a suspicious fire at her home tuesday

the fire. it's still under investigation. >> j.r.:st. john was a long time resident of castro valley. investigators believe the fire started in the attic. and don't know why anyone would want to kill her. a person was injured this afternoonwhen they somehow got trapped between containers on a ship at the port of oakland. firefighters reported the incident on twitter. saying that person was trapped around three this afternoon. crews have rescued the victimwho was taken from the shipand transported to the hospital. >> j.r.:rescue crews had to save an injured surfer at bodega bay this morning.
responders were dispatched to a sufer with an injured back at salmon creek beach north at around nine. eye witnesses say the waves were almost seven feet tallin fact because of those conditions officials had to call for a rescue helicopter just to get to the surfer. that person was successfully rescued and taken to a nearby hospital. tonight their condition is unknown. >> j.r.:in southern california- a man was accidently shot at a shooting range in tujunga. the victim was airlifted to a trauma center. these are pictures of crews treating the victim in the helicopter. in southern california. a wedding ended tragically saturday afternoon. a wedding party was taking pictures in a park when a large eucalyptus came crashing down on them. according to fire officials-- several people were trapped under the toppled tree. >> j.r.:officials say one woman was killed and five others were injured. the los angeles times says one of the injured is a four-year- old girl. she is critical condition due to head trauma. the other four suffered scrapes
and bruises. this woman was sitting in her car near by when it happened. she heard screaming and rushed over to help. los angeles county fire officials say it's possible the tree was affected by the drought. but it's still unclear why it fell. police are investigating a small explosion that happened in mill valley. the sound was heard around 10

>> j.r.:the massive 55-car pile- up in baltimore wasn't the only major crash that happened saturday. new mexico state police say a multi-vehicle wreck closed down a 38-mile strech of interstate 40 late saturday morning. officials are now saying there were multiple crashes in one area. not one big pile up. according to officials. at least 40 cars, trucks, and tractor trailers were involved in the wreck. they believe snow and ice created the very slick conditions, which likely played a role in the pile-up. a state police spokesman said there are no immediate reports of injuries.

story. >> reporter:senator john mccain / -r- arizona: "if they're able to harm the electoral process, they may destroy democracy, which is based on free and fair elections." senator john mccain, who has been vocal about the russian election-related hacks. spoke out again on sunday. just one day before the electoral college is set to vote. 538 electors.individuals selected by their political parties to cast votes for president and vice-president. will gather in their respective state capitals on monday to do just that. hillary clinton won the popular vote on election night, but president-elect donald trump got more than the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency. the electoral voting process has long been a formality. but with the conclusion from intelligence agencies that russia interfered in the 20-16 elections, some democrats are calling on congress to delay the vote until electors can be briefed. clay pell / -d- rhode island

former california democratic elector who voted in the 2012 presidential election. walnut creek's former mayor who, before knews of a possible russian hack, believed there would not be a shakeup tomorrow. protests in the streets and many calling for electors to vote for the candidate who won the popular vote, not president elect donald trump. but will that actually happen? sot i would think that's fairly unlikely gwen regalia is a former walnut creek mayor and a 2012 elector. she's a democrat who says that even with what we've seen after election day she doesn't expect electors to change their minds. >>:sot there could be a few electors who jump shipi would say in this particular election and this particular case that may happen in some places. i seriously doubt it's going to happen enough to change the outcome. >> reporter:why you might ask. electors are chosen by the party they side with. regalia was chosen by former democratic representative george miller. more than 99 percent of electors have voted for their pledged party. in fact many states have laws against what's called faithless electors. i asked regalia how she'd feel if many electors did opt to change their vote. sot that would be the equivalent to the loser bringing out the army with the tanks sot and even hillary clinton said give the man a chance
